GAMINGtruth's own ranter extraordinaire takes on one of the years biggest games in this epic tale of a review.
"Add to that fact the game was patched within a week, and the only remaining bug is a corrupt save glitch that appears to be related to people duping and otherwise breaking the rules of the game anyway." Wrong. The game simply doesn't save properly. Add to that the frustration of having to repeat quests you've already completed and this is far from "GamingTruth". Edge are the only ones that gave Dead Island the score it deserves. This game is a broken piece of shit.
I've not had any save glitch problems. I've only encountered one glitch.. I was playing 4 player co-op and one tried to fast travel, causing a black screen. The black screen caused us to get frozen, and everyone needed to reset the x360. However, when we started it back up, we started at the beginning of the quest.
Got the game on release, haven't experienced a single save glitch. Qualm I have with PC version is the lack of option to disable mic, it's always on. Other than that I had a blast, clocked 37 hours now. Also even with there being 4 different classes..I tried a new game and It's just not replayable for me
Good review, but i liked the city environment and missions
I have the PC version and that means we got the developers version by accident on release and that means us PC gamers got the buggiest version. Even so, the immediate patch alleviated all but one problem which is slight graphic tearing. Other than that, the game is perfectly fine. Do not let the comments about glitches turn you away, it's a great game.
