Gears Of War 3: Review Scores Take A Post Launch Dip
While I've personally been enjoying the multiplayer component in Gears Of War 3, Septembers biggest blockbuster review scores has taken a turn now that more people have gotten their hands on the game.

"but for what ever reason it hasn't satisfied fans of the series; as Metacritic's current user review score is sitting at 7.7/10" The majority of those poor review scores on metacritic are 0s and 1s. Most of those 0s and 1s probably aren't fan reviews or even reviews by people who have played the game yet. If you didn't know, thegameheadz, games tend to get voted down alot on metacritic due to....I'm not going to say it, but we've seen previous examples for this in other high-profile exclusive games before and gears is no exception.
I mean, just look at Halo 3 and Reach. The overall review score from critics is 94 and 91 respectively while the "users" have them rated as 7.5 and 7.4 respectively. Also, look at forza 3- 92 from critics and 7.9 from users.
I generally don't trust reviews, especially the user kind. Their standard for judgement isn't exactly universal!
Instead, I play it myself! That said, great games tend to have a large following that repeatedly gets played with long long legs, and it seems Gears of War 3 is one of those titles. The community will probably be vibrant for years to come!
Maybe all the bought out reviews are thru being released. I've heard mostly good things from actual gamers I trust though so I"m not insulting the game I'm just saying copy and paste 9/10 reviews don't really mean shit. The truth comes out in details.
User Reviews are just troll bait. You got the pro-fans posting everything 10 and the anti-fans posting everything 0 or 1. Just not even close to being accurate reflection of the games.
Here is an idea... if you are interested in the game then buy or rent it and rate it yourself as you play it.
Its funny how so many people write reviews like weeks before games come out. I think there fake. Its only when big games come out, like gears 3 for example, I seen all kinds of reviews, 9s and 10s and there was weeks until it would be out. there trying to get attention and they probably didnt even play it
How can people even trust Metacritic. They should not include review scores of consol exclusives by websites and Magazines that favour the consol its on.
10/10 reviews for Gears 3 on Metacritic.

Thats 3 of the 9 perfect reviews Gears got that have obvious favour for the 360.
Same can be said for PS3 exclusives and Nintendo Exclusives

I tend not to trust individual reviews but surely anyone can see that a game that has such a wealth of positive reviews MUST be a good game.
I played the first two games before my third 360 died on me and loved them, but now game exclusively on my PS3. I sat and watched my son play GOW3 for twenty minutes or so the other night and it took all of my will power not to go out and buy another 360 - the game looked incredible.

Proof of how bad Meta user reviews got..they have had negative reviews for titles that hadnt released.
