Apparently, Sony (NYSE: SNE ) hasn't gotten the message that Nintendo (OTC: NTDOY) is sending that the portable handheld gaming market really isn't what it used to be.
Ignoring the fact that the only way that Nintendo is able to boost sales is through massive price cuts, Sony is charging forward with its own "next generation" machine, the PlayStation Vita. The handheld will debut on Dec. 17 in Japan, while those in the U.S. and Europe will have to wait until next year.
Here's the article all summed up;
"the vita cost too much so it's gonna fail."
They could have tried harder than that. The 3DS had a slow start but I think it's safe to say that it's far from a failure. The Vita will be just fine, and it certainly will not fail.
I think that both the 3DS and Vita will succeed.And the price of the vita is a steal with what your getting....and the 3ds is showing signs of recovery from it's slow start.Gezz can't we ever have a "they're both gonna do great" article than a " Doom and gloom article" about the 3DS And Vita :/
So they attack the Vita because the 3DS failed to have massive sales at 250 euros. LOL this is just to funny.
Sony will not have the same problem as Nintendo because they already justified the 250 euro price tag with great games and a powerful handheld.
I think it's a bit too soon to call the 3DS a failure. Though I do think the vita will be more successful (or at least should be)
these articles are starting to make me feel stupid
and it's just the headline.
I'm buying both so.....next.
