The more people find out about Dragon Quest X, the more alienating it seems to be.
No it doesnt it shouldnt be exclusive.
Seriously, how much is a Wii right now? 100? C'mon.
exacly i need to get an console to buy an non-HD game and those combined it gets pretty expensive.
I just wanted to specify that I wasn't agreeing with this guy. Not sure why he thought I was.
so... we're talking about $100 for the console, 60$ for the game and probably like $40 worth of accessories/taxes so... $200 to give a game a chance? no thanks. if they bring it to other consoles or pc and ill give it a try though. also, buying a wii nintendo is months away from releasing new hardware which will almost positively make the wii stop getting any new software is insane. theres no way im going to buy a wii when wiiu release is so close.
By that logic, no 3rd party game should be exclusive, and that's just retarded, business is business, if you can't face that, get all consoles out there and a PC or quit gaming.
Dragon Quest X should be avaiable for all platforms like Monter Hunter 4 because many of us gamers dont own a Wii, casuals do.
Tough luck. An exclusive is an exclusive, they are the main reason for buying consoles. Also, despite the casual audience, the Wii has a ton of core games and I know of several friends who enjoy those games. It's hardly just for the casual, but it's not something the majority of hardcore gamers would choose as a first choice either
Ok, your reply sealed the deal, you only mention games like Dragon Quest X and Monster Hunter 4 because they are on Nintendo platforms, I won't bother you anymore, no need for me to keep arguing with a fanboy.
fanboy? lol at you sir i just like those 2 big japanese ip´s that´s all they just happen to be in nintendo consoles. PS3 and 360 need more games like these and less shooter exclusives.
It's hilarious to me how nintendo fans don't complain when games get timed exclusive or exclusive to other consoles. But lord knows, the biggest babies in gaming are grown men who think every game should be on their platform of choice...lol.
maybe cause theres barely any nintendo fanboys on this site the majority are split between sony and microsoft
@eagle21 Because the only thing Nintendo fans play is Mario, Zelda and Metroid that's why they don't complain. I bet most of them already have either an Xbox or PS3 to play HD games anyway because who can live playing games with crappy graphics for 2 consecutive gens?
Someone who doesn't count every pixel on each game they buy and/or don't care much about online games, that's who, whoever disagrees with eagle21 on that comment should be ashamed of him/herself.
" who can live playing games with crappy graphics for 2 consecutive gens" People who enjoy games. Now back into your cave.
For me, Dragon Quest has always been about the simple but charming storylines... and this being an MMO will likely mean that aspect is all but gone.
sorry but I don't usually play mmo and DQX looks like no exception
first monster hunter, then xeno, then last story, now dragon quest, next comes final fantasy and metal gear solid. nintendo are stocking up on the rpgs and system sellers. playstation and 360 owners can kiss goodbye to their precious rpgs next gen and will have to game on wiiu or go without.
has it been confirmed this will have a subscription fee? if so no thanks. but if its anything like DQ9 then I will get it.
Considering that it is possible to play the game fully offline, the lack of fees having to be paid for any Nintendo related online service outside of Japan, and having a maximum of 4 party members while either online or offline, it will most likely be without fee (outside of Japan).
