Call of Duty Elite Available for Pre-order at Gamestop writes, "Over the past year or two, Gamestop has made it a mission to allow you to purchase quite a bit of downloadable content in their stores. Whether you purchase it outright or with trade-in credit, the trend of digital goods coming to the brick & mortar environment is becoming more popular."

And let the idiots begin to pre order this crap SMH.

blumatt2436d ago

It seems silly to pre-order something that can't run out. lol These companies are getting good at getting us to hand over our money before we even get the product. haha

I guess next gen, people will just go ahead and pre-order all 6 Call of Duty games and all their dlc map packs at once. Activision: "Just go ahead and give us $500 and we promise we'll send you every game as it comes out. And as a bonus, we'll give you a Soap MacTavish blowup doll." bahahaha

Anyway, all joking aside, I will be picking up MW3. I'm gonna get it on the 360 too. *Oh blasphemy!* haha Yeah i just got a 360 this past weekend, guys. My gamertag is Blu Matt. Feel free to add me. I'll be getting Battlefield 3 on the PS3. PSN: blumatt

Ok, man. I didn't know that part.

If you pre-order ELITE.. you get 'founder' status, therefore people want to pre-order it.

hotskys2436d ago

lol looks at gears of war 3 with the season pass and 45$ dollars worth of weapon skins for sale on the marketplace. talk about money hungry?

BuT_TeR2436d ago (Edited 2436d ago )

LoL you can pre-order a virtual service? I didn't know it could run out. Then soon CoD:Elite DLC will be announced.

@Vashlion Yeah I know and even if there was a pre-order bonus why would you pay for this garbage?

Kenshin_BATT0USAI2436d ago

usually when you 'preorder' something online. The only reason is for extra perks. For example, if you preordered SF3 that came out recently, you would get free character skins and such.
I can't see there being any incentive though here to preorder.

It's like paying twice for the same product, CONSIDERING the fact that they'll have a new game out next year. Will that game have an "ELITE" service also?

My 2 cents if anyone wants to hear it is this..."ELITE" sales will be underwhelming and Activision will discontinue the service with their next game, but they might implement some type of micro transaction into their multiplayer because I know Bobby is all about charging more for their product.

lol.....ya thats what im seeing too! its cool if u like COD and all, but ya 12 months latter u stop play that game for the new COD?! "thats what im not likeing about all this Elite thing!"

Getting the Hardened Edition of MW3, so that i don't have to pay for non of this stuff in the long run. This is going to be the first COD that i ever purchase on release, the only COD i own is WaW.

*COD4: Haven't played it and now is worthless since the game has been hacked so much.

*WaW: The only COD i played for a long period of time i even prestige, cause it got boring being 65.

*MW2: played it for 6 days got to level 44 and took it back, because the game had trouble loading.

*BO: never played it and i dont plan on playing it
