New Information Revealed about Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku Online

Today Square Enix Published a whole slew of new information about Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku Online. the new numbered chapter of the Dragon Quest saga, coming in the form of an Online RPG on the Wii and, subsequently, on the Wii U.

They introduced the five races of the game (ogres, elves, dwarfs, pukuripos, and wedis), an overview of the areas of the game, and also some juicy bits about the story and gameplay.

I've heard you can play offline, but I've also heard you can't. Which is it?

If you read the article you'd also read that yes, you can play offline.

Yeah, this article was one of the sources I was including in my post. That doesn't change the fact that there still seems to be a lingering doubt on the matter.

I'm actually very excited about this game now that I know that it's possible to play online and/or offline. I'm assuming that considering the large amount of time and effort that was put into this game (as well as the localization of all recently released numbered titles) that it will be localized. I'm hoping one effect they touch up before release though are the visual battle effects, as they seem to be lacking (especially without the angled cinematography that Dragon Quest IX possessed). This is looking to be an exceptional title and is most likely going to look gorgeous on the WiiU.
