This week's charts, with data taken from November 15th, 2007, show Super Mario Galaxy debuting to stellar sales in North America, while Assassin's Creed ranks high in the U.S. and in the UK.
crysis strong opening woot!!!!
I've done my part in that war..im in Altair's corner...
Is selling better on the playstation 3 hmmm
I love that game
Playstation brand domination! Mario flopped, tanked in Japan! Buahahaha
Takes the crown of the most over rated game ever from Halo 3.
no... that crown goes to......
"PS3 will blow 360 out of the water"
Good find JC. I got both these games. Both are good.
AC is innovative in so many ways. An actual adult story regarding one of the most influential times in history. Unique in many, Many ways. Only 2 issues IMHO. 1 the framerate freeze issues. It froze on me 4 times before I could beat it. Also once you beat it I feel if you go back you should be able to skip story parts... Also if you go back many memories you lose gear... I know thats part of the story but I feel they could have kept it somehow.... As far as people complaining about it being repetative(Spelling?). They probably just did the pick pocket and eavesdrop events and not the informant events cause they are harder but thats on them not the game. Either play to win or play for fun and dont complain about it if you choose the easy way. I would have liked to have seen a GTA style "Once you win its your playground" idea but that really can be seen as minor in not having it but if they added it that would be a huge plus....
Galaxy was a very solid Platformer. Lacking a little in decent story but very solid design and great pacing, scale and interactivity. Nintendo has always made amazing instant classics. This game will be played for years to come. I felt it was a great mix of easy and hard. Easy in that if you play for 2 hours you'll end up with 50+ lives hard in that some parts will take you a while but wont slow down due to good pacing.
Of the 2 I can't honestly choose. They both offer fresh ideas on old games and offer a lot of fun all around. Both have replay (AC needs its patch though. I honestly can't believe they released it with the issues it has. Thats the only HUGE negative I got for it) I do believe in the end I will play AC much more the Galaxy so for my money its Altair all the way though but I can easily see why someone would choose simplistic fun over something so involved. Some people just wanna relax and AC can be stressful... Galaxy wont give much stress. Hence Nintendo going casual.
I love when actual OWNERS of games show their genuine opinions. I am sure Assassin's Creed is solid because I trust Game Informer over every other and it received a 9.5. Super Mario Galaxy is obviously a must have for Wii owners because Miyamoto doesn't create junk (I am not too sure about wii fit though..keeping it real..keeping it real...!). Kudos for you!
competeting games should offer $25-$30 gift cards for free with purchase just to level the playing field a bit.
I think that little gindaloon is the antichrist. How much longer is Nintendo gonna force feed us this little plumber guy. He was old in 1987. All this talk of Nintendo's creativity, and how they think outside the box; yet they been runnin the same character for 25 years. Thats longer than most gamers today have been alive for Christ sake. Don't worry Nintendo. ppl will still buy the Wii if you retire Mario. I promise
i'm buying a wii.
i dont care.
screw you 360...and screw you PS3.
Every week, 200k-400k people buy these consoles WORLDWIDE (PER CONSOLE). Don't ever doubt what you want for a second cause hundreds of thousands choose with you! This generation is predicted to have 165 million more people to buy one or two or even all three consoles! Bump the internet, it's all about u!
better games at only 49.99!!!!!!!!!
hating will not help the sales of ps3 or x360 for that matter... mario galaxy may go down as the best game of all time. just incredible....the great games are just starting to get here and the wii already has the lead...its going to be murder from now until march 2008
