Battlefield 3 Pre-Orders Up to 1.5 Million

Battlefield 3 is EA's big competitor this fall for the shooter genre, and the company intends to use its two-week window before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches to its advantage. It was only a couple weeks ago that EA said 1.25 million units had been pre-ordered and now that figure has risen to 1.5 million.

Count me one of those as well. I NEVER EVER pre-order games but this one I couldn't risk showing up to the store after work at 5pm and finding out they sold out.

I'm really glad to see the pre-order number for this game is getting this high. After the Beta, the number might break two million. I think this game will sell extremely well and there are some people I know that aren't pre-ordering the game, but are still going to get it day one.

Will pre-order if I like the beta. There's so many games coming this fall and I'm not really a FPS guy. Dark Souls, studies and Vita import will most likely not warrant a pre-order or day 1 buy for me :(

I wasn't an online multiplayer kind of guy either until I got hooked on Bad Company 2... with a group of friends or even strangers with mics, making a good squad of 4 people was EPIC. No other game for me has come even close to the teamwork needed to succeed.

Cant wait! Played so much BFBC2. I want to see how rush mode will be since the M-com stations cant be destroyed by buildings or players shooting at them. Was so frustrating when a tank would just roll up and shoot the hell out of the com station
