Chris Forbis of Platform Nation reviews Dead Island after the first patch for consoles.
Dreadlock Rasta Island? Mon...?
Bug Island. Everytime I comment about this, people imply that I'm a liar and I'm not experiencing these bugs. Different people can play a buggy game and not see the same things. For example, I heard Fallout 3 was very buggy but I only had occasional freezing problems with that game. New Vegas is supposed to be worse, but I didn't like F3 enough to buy DLC, much less a sequel. Dead Island is the buggiest game I've ever played, and a friend who bought the game to play it with me is having the same problems. Large amounts of lost progress because of the broken autosave. Weapons that either vanish from my inventory or are unable to be picked up once I throw them. Zombies that run through walls and either disappear or pop out of the ground moments later. Quest rewards that aren't given. Frequent freezing during co-op, with less frequent freezing during solo play. My truck has vanished out from under me as I was driving. This is all the PS3 version.
All you have done is moan about this game, past comments include you just listing these bugs over and over. Instead of constantly moaning about this game and trying to make it look bad, try focusing on some of the positives. If it's so buggy for you, why are you still playing it? If it's buggy is it not wise to play another game and wait for the patch that fixes these problems? Fallout3 froze a lot... a hell of a lot, Dead Island for me playing strictly co-op has frozen twice, both in a car. Yes the bugs are terrible, all those you listed are terrible, but the gameplay, the mechanics of the game, they're amazing. Bugs do hinder the experience, but if they affect you so much, then just don't play the game until it get's patched and refrain from moaning about it constantly. All in all it's a great game, of course the bugs are terrible and need to be patched, but moaning over again isn't helping. And the fact you keep going back to it is obviously because you enjoy it, so if you want to play it that much to keep encountering bug after bug, then I really think you're just trying to find bug after bug so it gives you a reason to moan..
