PixlBit: Since Defiance’s release in 2003 there have been numerous rumblings about the series being resurrected, but all signs from the offices of Crystal Dynamics have indicated that nothing has been seriously considered at this time. That doesn’t mean that the series will remain dormant forever though, since the studio has recently brought Tomb Raider back from the dead and its parent company, Eidos, made a big splash by releasing a new Deus: Ex game to critical acclaim just last month.
So what would a new Legacy of Kain game focus on? The world of Nosgoth is filled with interesting possibilities so it is my hope that the developers don’t elect to reboot the series. A particular character in the Legacy of Kain family would certainly be well serviced by a game or two of their own. I am speaking of the one and only Vorador.
Vampire games are making a comeback of late, and gamers hoping this is a new trend should look back at the 7 best vampire games ever made.

A Best Vampire Game list and no Bloodborne. A bold choice, indeed.
IMO, I wouldn't consider bloodborne a vampire game. Long story short, It's more about the side effects of the blood experiment and the influence of the red moon, than actually being a vampire.
Yes, Bloodborne is about Vampires. It's not just the undertones, or the imagery or the obvious parallels, it's pretty much everything and then some. Here's the thing, Bram Stoker's Dracula is also not a Vampire novel. Why? Because technically Vampires from folklore were something else.
But based on our updated view of what Vampires are, informed in one way or another by Bram Stoker's Dracula, Nosferatu The Vamprye, and many other stories, and combined with From Software's own interpretation, we can say with confidence that Bloodborne IS a Vampire story. Sure, there are other elements, but the central narrative is pretty much Vampires. Which would make it THE Vampire game. I mean, Cainhurst Castle. Anyways, that's how I see it.
But to each their and we'll agree to disagree.

No Blood Omen? Even today it's one of my favourite vampire games. We could really do with a release on modern platforms.
I really enjoyed Vampyr. The combat is a little clunky and could use some work. However, the story, characters, dialog. setting, and pretty much everything else in the game is great.

But kind of hard to do when they are tasked in helping TRILLION dollar companies finish making their games. Just blows your mind right? Sucks the life right out of you like a vampire.
They need to do it quick the voice talent isn't getting any younger and we need a wrap up of the story of Kain and Raziel.
Man I can only imagine what a modern take of Nosgoth would look like past and present. Have Blood Omen with D4 style top down graphics and Soul Reaver taking advantage of SSD and physical/spectral plain shifting with modern graphics and updated combat ,,,, drool :p Honestly they could condense soul reaver 1,2& defiance in to 1 game if they ever do a remake , make it a huge epic arpg

That's actually a very good point. The original Deus Ex came out AGES ago, and Revolution is doing really well despite the series being all but forgotten about for years. Maybe there is hope for the Legacy of Kain series yet. I hope so. I'd love to see a new game sometime soon.
One of my favorite series I hope will come back. This and Onimusha.
If they bring back Kain, i wonder if S.R will soon follow suit, be cool to see some awesome vampires in games, and no sparkling Piano playing picking the dull highschool chick type lol.
And gore..The others had it, so amp it up, I loved throwing spears and swords through fools.
One of the best game series story and character wise. Loved all the games, even the two Blood Omen ones that kinda stuck out after the release of Soul Reaver 1 & 2. Pity that the voice actor who played the Elder God died, he had an epic voice ;_;
kain definatley needs a reboot they were awesome games.
