Dead Island Review [MediaStinger]

MediaStinger: "Although originally announced in 2006, Dead Island stayed under most gamers’ radars until earlier this year in February when Techland released one of the most talked about trailers of all time. It showed no actual gameplay but instead teased a story of a family on vacation that is forced against one another in order to survive a zombie attack ... So does Dead Island live up to the hype created by its memorable trailer or does the actual gameplay kill what could have been the next big zombie franchise?" (Dead Island, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 3.5/5

I can only imagine how badly this game would be ripped apart if it was a PS3 exclusive. Even this score is too high. I just discovered that I got credit for about fifteen minutes of the four hours I played yesterday. On the bright side, this means that I have my good rifle and 25k cash back, since the game stole them from me during the latter part of that four hours. On second thought, only the rifle is back because I'll have to build up a good portion of that cash again. Hopefully if I pay all that money to upgrade the rifle again, it will still be in my inventory when I step away from the workbench. Wow this game is a mess.
