Ubisoft launched Assassin's Creed in the US yesterday. She's a big girl but she's kind of pretty. Which means she can chug a beer with ya at the bar but when you take her home you feel a little disappointed.
so i just started playing this game last night, so far i enjoy it, the fighting i find isnt just a one button mash, you have three buttons, step, grab and attack. but one attack is really needed, but there is diversity, liking grabbing a templar, after beating him to a wall, and tossing him over the side. but like the penny arcade mentioned, its not a game that i would want to rush through. The Journey, not the destination, is definatly the experience of the game.
like the combo kill abd the counter attacks. thesse makie the fighting alot more fun as you get some awsome kills.
From here on I'm reading no more news on this game, I'm just going to buy it and make up my own mind.
EDIT: I dont get that comment man. What do you mean used?
haha, if you can get it used :)
Being a film student, i take the same consideration for game reviewers than i do with films, and the same thing i tell my folks.
Critics review it for the masses, for the lowest common denominator... Very general. very very good bad general. But since everyone has their own likes and dislikes, one persons review, or two or even three peoples review shouldnt be the be all. I think alot of games gets overlooked, like movies, because critics, review for the dumbest of people.
I'd give it a 9 (so far) The biggest complaint I've read about this game, is that it's too repetitive. EVERY game is repetitive (God of War and Halo...find enemy...destroy...Over and over and over) People expected GOTY with this title, which it's not, but it is one of the best games out his year. Buy it and enjoy it, don't listen to whinney game reviewing losers.
I decided to pick up my copy today because of the positive comments that you and others have posted. It seems that most people have really enjoyed the game so far. I can't wait to get started on it.
How can you give it a 9 when you haven't even played it?
the game sucks
(reply)i got the game
its a waste of $60
i pick up mostly every game
the game is good for a rent
and thats it
Yet you feel the need to take your time out of your day to stop in this forum to post that it sucks? I know you have not played this game, it's obvious, so instead go comment on something you HAVE played. If you have played it and you came to that conclusion, care to share why it sucks?
i feel bad for reviewers...because no matter how much they like a game they have to pick things out that they don't like. It could be things they don't even necessarily bother them they just have to mention them. I think we all as a whole listen to critics a bit too much. I think reviews should just tell us as a whole if the game is fun. I know for one I am not going to buy this game and be like "Meh this is easy" if it's fun, it's fun isn't that what matters anymore? Was Mario ever hard? Zelda? all the old games we didn't critique as much. I think games and movies are too overly critiqued anymore.
I totally agree. I got the game yesterday and love it. I've been playing for about 4 1/2 hours total and just killed the third guy so plenty of fun to be had. Anyone who is on the fence, I suggest you go get it if you have the money to.
Game of the Year? No.
Game everyone should at least try? Absolutely
I like it. The controls are a bit complicated at first but I've gotten used to them now. I've been saving my sci-fi itch for Mass Effect and with playing so much CoD 4 lately this has been a refreshing change.
