Don't be surprised if you see America's Favorite Marsupial (after Kangaroo Jack) tooling around on the highways and byways of this great land. That's right: Crash Bandicoot is old enough to get his learner's permit.
For many, the game became the sound of the 90s – but Josh Mancell tells us how the music for PlayStation’s first mascot game originated in Kraft cheese and Kraftwerk
Brendan O’Brien, the voice actor behind the original Crash Bandicoot and several other characters featured in the classic Naughty Dog trilogy of games on PlayStation, died on March 23.
Have you ever wondered what the best year in gaming was? Well wonder no more! The British public have had their say, and voted for 1996.
I have some many fond memories as a 10 year old gamer from back then! The best of times!
More of a 97 person myself.
FF7, Symphony of the Night, Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, Dynasty Warriors, Diablo, Fallout, Tomb Raider 2, Mega Man Legends, GoldenEye, Turok, Wing Commander Prophecy, Star Fox 64, Einhander, Tobal 2, Bushido Blade, Colony Wars, Ultima Online. Was a great year to start working at Funcoland.
2013 was a good year too. Dead Space 3, The Last of Us, GTA5, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Tomb Raider reboot, Bioshock Infinite, Batman: Arkham Origins, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Grid 2 & more.
Oh Crash how my heart yearns for thee....ND please, please return to the platform genre and give Sony a true mascot.
All we have now is LBP and R&C, these are great franchises, yet IMO they don't compare to Crash. This gen has seen a decrease in platform games one of the best genres in the good PS1 days and personally my favourite.
I am close to 30 years and have a good over 20 years of gaming experience under my belt. As time goes by it seems gaming as a whole has become an entirely different creature, not the lovable peaceful friend we once knew, intimately reminiscing about the joys of our imagination. Instead has been transformed into the bullish, competitive asshole which has hit too close to home.
Oh how I miss the good old days...Thank you Crash, u truly were the magnum opus of what gaming should have been, playful, imaginative and downright fun...
Dear old Crash and friends...my favourite platformer series. However, the best of Crash is from the ND days, and now the Crash Bandicoot series is whithering, thanks to Activision and the other developers.
I had a dream I was playing this too...
Crash will always have a spot in video game history, but Naughty Dog knows when to stop. That whole concept of character design ran dry, and you see what happened to Sonic when SEGA kept on with his series.
Ctash 1 was up there with Mario
Man, I bought all of those games back in the day. Those were some good times. Its sad to see the Sony mascots fall. ;_;
Crash, Spyro, and Lara Croft. Luckily, Lara rebounded as of late, and the Twisted Metal Series is still running strong, but Crash and Spyro...
Crash Team Racing was the shit too.
