Set in an open world tropical island, hordes of different festering zombies wait around every corner as you embark on various missions all set around an island Holiday resort. With firearms and ammunition incredibly scarce you must rely on discovering and utilising items as weapons for self-defense and fighting off zombie hordes in intense melee combat. A diverse range of items can be collected and used to transform your ordinary makeshift weapons into serious instruments of destruction.
We might be in the age of remasters, but it doesn't look like the Dead Island 2 devs believe remaking the original game is the right move for the series.
but remakes require far less effort for these companies and they can still charge $70 for them!
Feel like everyone makes fun of Skyrim re-releasing like 18 times yet applaud these remasters elsewhere. Would much prefer NEW games
Making sequels really is the way to go. Otherwise we'll be stuck playing only the first entry, forever!!!
Josiah Motley of KnowTechie writes: "I love video game trailers. While I don’t believe they are an integral part of a game’s success (especially these days), there’s something about a well-produced trailer that really just reminds me why I like video games."
It’s the music. It’s perfect. I agree with this for sure, it is well choreographed….unfortunately the game didn’t live up to the trailer.
Have you ever seen any of the MGS 3 or MGS 4 trailers? Those blow this out of the water for me.
Kevin F. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Many of the best Xbox 360 games are playable on the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. Some even with some enhanced visuals and performance. Unfortunately, not every game from the Xbox 360 library has received this glorious feat of being able to be played on more modern Microsoft consoles."
The Spider-man games will never happen. The xbox 360 Marvel Ultimate Alliance games have a better chance of happening than Spider-man titles but won't happen. The Xbox One Ultimate Alliance games delisted years ago
Yeah... you can totally forget about those entries that got delisted because of licensing issues. Those are not happening.
Have to say I feel lik this is a more or less accurate view on the game.
Buggy, but really fun. Also it's nice to see another zombie lover has reviewed this game. One of the few reviews that doesn't spend most the review moaning about the bugs and actually talks about the positives in the game and talks about it with an open mind.
Just bought this today. I'm in the middle of a zombie movie marathon (about to watch Zombie flesh eaters aka zombi 2 which practically is this game in cheesy 70's movie format) but later on I'll be drinking and hacking up some zombies myself. I'm not expecting a technically well made game but as a zombie fanatic I'm sure I'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
"The missions are well thought out and although quite a few involve you running from point A to Point B beating off hordes of undead zombies"
You can't really fault them for that. Sex sells, it's just the way the industry is going.
Its not about the bugs, nor the missions, its about the experience, this game gives off a very different feel then most other games, i've been gaming since atari too, and its def not repetitive as you say, its got a cornucopia of different missions you can do, not all are the same, the main mission is different, the side quests are sorta the same a little bit, but it makes up for it with the beautiful landscapes, and countless of edge of the seat zombie killing moments. The audio is superb too!, I still freak out when I hear a butcher or thug zombie scream and growl. lol.
@MysticStrummer
It sure isn't the buggiest game I've ever played, far less buggy than New Vegas, and about on par with Fallout3 (my favorite game).
I love this game!!!
I never would have thought comparing it to Borderlands co-op, and Fallouts3 looting/ weapon creation, but it does seem fitting.
We still haven't got the "day1 patch".
I seem to be able to overlook the visual flaws (which are momentary, and the game is otherwise beautiful), I haven't encountered anything near game breaking.
