Dead Island Review - LusoGamer

The latest review for Dead Island, courtesy of LusoGamer.com (Dead Island, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 8.2/10

How is this below mediocre game getting such high scores? Rented it from GameFly and glad i didn't buy it. Terrible frame rates, hundreds of bugs and glitches and repetitive missions and gameplay. "kick, kick, kick, hit with weapon, kick kick".

I give it a 4/10

I kind of agree with you, but exploring the island is really fun and freaky. I've only done 3 missions and they were a bit boring. But there is more to it then kick kick kick, hit weapon kick kick. I mean i can make fallout (or any game) sound boring by saying shoot, shoot, shoot, take stimpack, shoot.

I've been asking the same question. I wish I could visit an alternate universe where this is a PS3 exclusive. It would be getting crucified in most reviews and getting 6s or 7s from the most forgiving reviewers. This game should not have been released for another 6 months at least. Besides all the obvious technical problems, the autosave feature is not reliable at all. I've lost small amounts of progress several times by trusting the game when "game saved" appears on the screen. Just now, I loaded my game and discovered I lost about two hours of game time in which I did multiple quests. The game supposedly saves when you start a quest and when you finish, but it's a lie at least some of the time. Dammit why did I buy this game and reward these devs??? *shakes fist at the sky* WHYYY!!!???

That's your opinion. You're talking nonsense. Frame Rates ? I didn't notice nothing at all. Bugs = Glitches. And I didn't noticed them at all so far either. Though.. every game has it's flaws. Repetitive missions ? No sir. I would agree with you on one thing... the gameplay might get a bit boring after an hour or two. But still... loving the game so far. No need to be so harsh you know.

You should try playing it a little bit more.

I've got the game and i'm taking it back, lol.

It's ok for alittle while, but gets really boring, reminds me of RDR alittle. All open world games have alot of the same crap.

Go get something, bring it back. Go do this, go do that. Go help that women, blah blah blah. I never read up on this game, wish i did lol. I thought it would be a fight for survival single player game.

L4D 1&2 and deadnation are much better.

L4D 2 to a lot of people, preferably the fanbase. Should have never happened. I won't lie that game was a mistake. Dead Nation was garbage, I had so many conflicting disconnection errors trying to play online, prior the patch. Honestly if you're not into open world games, and desire a linear narrative. Then this game is not for you. I'm level 10 with only 8% complete and 10 hours worked in. This has to be the best zombie game I've played in a damn long time, L4D as far as gameplay goes, has been dethroned.

I'm proud Techland put so much work and effort into this game.

8.2.... Such a precise score. I would've bought it, if only you had scored it an 8.3.
