The hybrid structure of Dead Island has many highlights but also many shadows. The shot in first person but it increases the involvement creates problems during combat, an apt solution for a half-game with melee combat. Quests are numerous, although the flatness in terms of storytelling and diversity in the situations were not a great incentive to complete the total. The basic setting amplifies the multiplayer fun with single player experience but it takes away drama. But there is this great world explored freely, which leads to pursue, there is a great way of progression, and character building, and there is a sense of fear and constant threat to survival horror style that make the final budget strongly positive , although greater care in level design, narrative structure and the elimination of smearing techniques would surely achieve superior.
