very cheap

but i think ill get a pirated version and play with my friend on hamachi

TAILWHIP2629d ago

This does not work for Canadians, at least i couldn't get it to work with the given code. Just thought I'd let everyone know. Still good deal at 15 percent off tho.

evrfighter2629d ago (Edited 2629d ago )

gonna need more than hamachi.

this is a steamworks game so you're gonna have to wait for a steam crack and even then it won't be perfect

you ever try playing killing floor cracked? ya it's gonna be like that

STK0262629d ago

It worked no problem for me (and I'm in Quebec). By the way, have you tried adding a "z" to the code? I had to add on esince the code given in the article is incomplete.

.......I need a gaming PC.....$36 PC vs $65 PS3......*cries*

newn4gguy2629d ago (Edited 2629d ago )

$1000 PC vs $250 PS3....

I hate to break it to you, but...

Disclaimer: I own a very nice PC and a PS3. So, don't think I'm on one side of this. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

reynod2629d ago (Edited 2629d ago )

lol to beat a PS3 you only need a 500usd PC(even that would a way overkill). With every game being cheaper that small 250usd difference wont last long :)

The initial cost difference is just a method to lure you in to buying almost every game at a higher cost.

Remember that same 500usd PC will do alot more then just play games.

As i posted below you could literally own a 1000usd rig for free just buy saving on games in a period of 1-2 years.

kaveti66162629d ago

Most people have PCs anyway. Instead of buying an underpowered PC for 600 bucks and buying a PS3 for 250 bucks, people can buy an 850 dollar PC that will do more things than a console will do and still play games at a higher visual level than console games.

Investing 1500 dollars in a PC would still be a better use of money.

A PC can do many many many more things than a console can.

Anything a console can do, a PC can, except for play the exclusives.

JsonHenry2629d ago

Yeah, a $450-$550 pc would beat any of the consoles hands down. Which, I mean, they ARE 5+ years old so it shouldn't take too much to out do them..

Especially if you are fine with playing ~720p resolutions.

You're over compensating the amount of power the PS3 has...

Been saying it all the while, console gaming is expensive. With almost every game getting released cheaper on PC and being superior its definetly the platform to own for majority of the releases.

Infact PC gaming can be so much cheaper with a year or so of buying games on PC you could literally save upto a 1000usd or even more depending on how much you game. Your rig could literally be funded with the money saved on buying games.

Myst2629d ago (Edited 2629d ago )

Dammit even though I got the PS3 version I MAY get this just because my friend is getting it on steam...

[edit]
Wait a minute I see UK in there so it's UK only or also applies to other territories? As I also see the dollar symbol instead of the other (Euro? Pound?)

LiViNgLeGaCY2629d ago (Edited 2629d ago )

What's sad is....Even though my PC can MORE than handle this game, I'll still get the inferior, more expensive PS3 version JUST so I can get the trophies.

I know, I know....I have a problem.

Pro_TactX2629d ago (Edited 2629d ago )

The Steam version of the game does have achievements, though I realize that does nothing for your PSN trophy card.

I would not personally pay more money for an inferior product just for something as trivial as trophies, but ultimately it is your right as a consumer to spend your money however you wish.

LiViNgLeGaCY2629d ago

I completely agree with everything you just said, lol. And yeah, I do know about the achievement system on steam. Got some while playing Batman AA.

But like I said, this goes beyond all that. I just.....I just HAVE to get trophies. It's weird, trust me I know.

reynod2629d ago (Edited 2629d ago )

Why the emphasis on the Trophies?

You dont even know if they will carry forward to the next playstation. Hell you dont even know if all those overpriced games you buy on the PS3 will work with the PS4? or will Sony rather decide to charge you for HD remakes.

Imo what you do have a clue about is how much you will be saving over a period of time. Dunno about you but i would rather save 400-500usd a year in exchange for a bunch of virtual trophies.

Johnny_Cojones2629d ago

The code works on other games, as well.
