Digital Chumps: El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Review

Digital Chumps: El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is a work of surprising confidence. Combat that favors leveling up the player's, not that avatar's, skill set is worthy of admiration, as is a wildly imaginative, frenzied art department that never allows their beautiful work to overstay its welcome. After it got the hard part right it's disappointing to see El Shaddai stumble through sections that should have been easy. Still, El Shaddai always seems eager to impress. (El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, PS3, Xbox 360) 8.2/10
