GIR writes, "Some comment have been going around the interwebs over the past few hours, reporting that some Wal-Mart stores have been placing the upcoming zombie RPG, Dead Island, up for sale." Unbelievable? Check out the video for proof.
Well its Wal-Marts fine I use to work at Wal-Mart everything was street dated for a release date. If caught on the floor forsale before the street date the fine was $10,000 per copy sold. If anything thats probably a preorder case or a display case. If it is the real game as it looks as thoe they have the protective plastic around it well Wal-Mart is in shit. I am surprised the guy making the movie did not buy a copy of the game I would have.
I agree: the video didn't show him PURCHASING a copy. I work at a video game store, and we display the game before it's released, we just can't sell it until the marked date. If you noticed, there's no price under the game. I doubt they're selling it.. although I wouldn't be shocked. The majority of Walmart associates in electronics don't know much about the products they sell.
my wall-mart wont let the sale go through the computer until the street date i tried to buy the censored little big planet and they would not let me.
Unlikely, but not impossible... I remember I got Uncharted quite a bit earlier than it was suppose to be officially released because I saw it on sell early at Walmart.
