ive gotta agree with you there, i was one of the biggest "elite" haters there was but when all DLC (which i do normally buy all, apart from the new zombie map pack just come out) would cost around £40 i can get them all for £34.99, cant see any reason not to get it now, its common sense if you ask me.

@WhiteLightning
How could someone ignore BF3 that game looks breath taking

rabidpancakeburglar2632d ago

That was actually sarcasm but I'm not gonna knock your reasoning for getting it as it seems sensible if you're actually going to get the dlc

king dong2631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

they can stick that right up their hairy cracks!!

S_C2631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

For the people who disagreed with my comment.

I normally buy every map pack which would cost me 40QUID in all, so if i pay 35QUID i get all the maps included in that price, so tell me why you disagree with it when i will be saving a 5iver hmmmmmm i guess it just beacuse its about Call Of Duty

Motorola2631d ago

@S_C You're not allowed to support COD on this site without getting disagreed or getting a BF3 trailer shoved in your face. Sucks.

Agent-862631d ago

@S_C, the problem is that you are paying in advance for all DLC and only saving $10 or 5 quid in your case ($60 of future DLC for $50). How do you know if the future DLC is any good? Doesn't matter because you are buying it all now despite knowing the quality. Personally, if I'm going to get DLC (rarely do, but occasionally), I would like to pick and choose the ones I want rather than having the whole thing forced on you for a slightly lower price.

@ Motorola
Yerp Sad But True, Personally Im Buying Both Day 1 And As Soon As I Finish Work Ill Be Picking Them Up.

@Agent-86
You do have a point in not knowing what your getting. but its like that with DLC anyways i thought First strike looked good in the trailers but when i bought it it was crap. But with elite you get new game modes e.t.c, and i do get bored of playing the same game modes all the time so that will be nice to mix it up abit and new dlc every month will be good aswell.

If my friends buy this and MW3 yet ignore Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, Assassins Creed, Batman AC and even Rage.....then their morons, complete morons ¬¬

I don't see how anyone still can be interested in this game and even buy a useless thing as Elite because it's related to COD, yet ignore games in which the developers have worked their arses off for and actually care for it's fanbase instead of just it's money.

rezzah2631d ago

Do you play games for your friends or yourself?

If yourself then it doesn't matter what they play, I rather enjoy a good game rather than give up that fun experience for something annoying just because someones else only plays that specific game

WhiteLightning2631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

No....but I hate seeing my friends become sheep and fall into the COD hype year after year while seeing other people use it as a social gimmick when nobody has gave a crap about that person before. Hell even people I know who always say I'm a gamer when they're not because, as I said, they ignore the games I've mentioned above but thinks COD is his savior.

Just a few reasons anyway...

rezzah2631d ago

i see what you mean, still I rather not make any moves to try and change them. it al comes down to personally choice. And if they call themselves a gamer...then really what makes a "gamer" but one's own perception of themselves or another person?

Perception based on feeling and personal interaction/history with gaming helps fold our thoughts into thinking what we believe to be what a gamer is.

In the end it doesn't matter what they think but what you think, yet don't let your thoughts on the matter control your vision of the world of gaming.

People obviously enjoy COD and it's annual updates, wouldn't hold it against them. And gaming is pretty expensive these days, if your prefer a certain game then you should stick with it or you could risk disappointment and a sense of waste of hard earned cash, if I was to buy all the games you mentioned in Ireland it would cost me roughly 360 euros.

garos822631d ago (Edited 2631d ago )

what you fail to realise is that the very succesful business model of cod then becomes an example for other developers to follow and i for one dont want a stagnant market of predictable games coming out on a constant basis offering almost NO new experiences or improvements to the overall package for the same price id buy the game 5 years ago.
when smaller developers find it hard to compete and innovate and decided to take the cod route instead its a problem for you, your friends, me and my friends who shovel up these crap attempts at games on a daily basis

Old McGroin2631d ago

I totally agree with you garos82, but this argument is old, it started with the Horse Armour for Oblivion and no amount of fan rage has been able to stop videogame companies building on that trend, evolving it to this stage and taking advantage of its fans, it didn't start with COD and it won't end with COD.

My first thought was "rip off" but then I read the article, if it does indeed give you all DLC for that price then it's a bargain for COD fans.

I don't normally reply to Disagrees, but you Sir Mr Disagreer are an idiot who can't understand basic maths.

I don't know the DLC will be any good. My point is that fans of COD will buy the DLC regardless of price (18 million map packs sold for Black Ops regardless of the price backlash) so if they follow their own business model of overpriced map packs then this one reduced price for all will save them a little cash in the long run.
