A few decades ago, the title to Gusto Games’s new game would been greeted with a resounding NO from the assembled gaming community. Why should I get up and Dance, how is it going to benefit me in the long run, and what’s the point anyway, casual games are never going to take off! Fast forward to the launch of Dance Dance Revolution and that general consensus was starting to change, but to get dance games into everyday homes, took a technological revolution. That revolution ended up changing its name to Wii, but it’s mentality lived on through its motion sensing controls; A fact that developers sprung upon and utilised with such success, that it is only this week that we have seen a dance game on the Wii be knocked off the top spot. So, with dancing games dominating the games chart, is there really space for one more. Get Up and Dance likes to think so.
