Game Informer - Bodycount Review

Bryan Vore writes: The 2006 shooter Black from Criterion was generally well-regarded by critics and pushed the limits of what the PlayStation 2 and Xbox could handle. Bodycount was originally conceived as a spiritual successor to it, but since Black senior designer Stuart Black left Codemasters last year, pairing these two projects seems odd now. Rented it today for two days that cost $2.14 should be able to get many achievos, then move on to Space Marine next week. To bad cause this game had potential obvious they cut their budget. Worth a play not a buy.

Tell you what. When I play it tonight, if the game is fun then this "pro" review can shove it up his ass. Cause I'll get all my buddies to buy it as well.

At the end of the day its all about having fun and having new experiences, not who was attached to the project and whether or not "COD" is attached to the name or if its a graphical power house or whatever, cause Black sucked.

and the demo I played was fun as hell.

The demo sucked, you must be smoking some good stuff

Swiggins4620d ago

I agree with blink, the Demo was awful, the whole game just reaked of genericness.

Laxman2164620d ago

I concur.

I enjoyed the demo and rarely pay attention to big company reviews, becuase a lot of games they give mediocre scores to are still very enjoyable to play, which correct me if im wrong (im made to feel wrong about my own reviews sometimes for having these thoughts) but video games should be about having fun.

Black was my favorite FPS from last generation, i really hope somewhere down the line he or criterion does a sequel.

as for this game ive yet to play to demo i have downloaded but ill give it a go sometime this week.

Didn't like the look of or when I saw the gameplay, this sort of confirms my doubts, shame really :(
