Deus Ex: Human Revolution - A Revolutionary Experience (Hooked Gamers)

Deus Ex just missed out on our Top 50 Games of the Last Decade by a year, but if it had made it I think there would have been a hell of a fight for first place. The original is still considered one of (if not the) greatest games ever made through one simple factor: choice. Sure, The Witcher series may have better choice in terms of story, but everything else pales in comparison to Deus Ex. The breadth of gameplay options available is even more impressive in
Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution, making it unlike any other game on the market right now. (Deus Ex: Human Revolution, PC) 9.5/10

I've had a blast with Deus Ex: HR. I loved the original, and I also could see the stealth/ non-lethal takedown aspects appealing to Metal Gear fans (I'm also definitely one of those). The level design is really fantastic in particular. There are almost always multiple ways to approach a situation. I've spent lots of time just investigating the various paths and approaches. It's also a challenge to slip through without being detected and a joy to build up your character with various augmentations. Highly recommended.
