Games that should have been better: Assassin's Creed.

When I first heard about Assassin’s Creed I was stunned, amazed, puzzled and excited all at the same time. I thought that there would be no better game in 2007 and that the gaming community would rejoice and blah blah blah. The long and short of it: Assassin’s Creed wasn’t all that great of a game and it suffered through a lot of tedious tasks, sketchy fighting and a mediocre plot twist.

I found this game too repetitive to play through.

eh i personally enjoyed the first AC. For all of its short comings and things it did wrong it did enough fresh things and things right that it captivated me.

Well Ubisoft admitted a while ago that AC suffered from the hype it originally began to gain since they felt like their original plans wouldn't be as appealing to everyone that was looking forward to it but I get what you mean. Combat was indeed quite repetitive but I did like the informing missions and the idea of it even if it wasn't implemented with much diversity. As for the plot twist it was a bit obvious alright but I think the importance of it is shown more in the advancement of the overall AC plot rather than just in the game Assassins Creed itself.

i though the game was awesome@ maybe because its one of the early game i've played on the xbox or maybe because it was awesome for me to hear people speak proper arabic in a game.

Assassin's Creed could have been much better if it were a game, and not Virtual Tour: Jerusalem.

When you list "Sitting on Bench" as a mission, you know you've spent too much time making a believable game world, and forgot to include the game.

Thankfully the sequel was much better in that it had game play. Now if only they can get rid of the horrible Genetic History plot, and let us just be an Assassin from a given time.

I'm so glad theyre implementing Altair back into Revelations. his story seemed unfinished, and now with the amazing gameplay of Ezio's trilogy mixed with Altair's setting, we can get a kind of a proper AC1
