newbreview.com's Richard Burley compares and contrasts EA's Battlefield 3 and Activision's Modern Warfare 3 to see which game will give you more bang for your buck.
Christ, not another one of these articles :(
I was about to say the same damn thing!
My thoughts exactly. Don't give them a hit.
Don't fall for it! It's a trap!
Take the hint
old news. stop posting these until the game or more info comes out please.
Or, I dunno, you could try reading this as the author has taken the time to actually play both of these games before you go proclaiming "oh no, not another one of these!". Just a thought, feel free to disagree.
N4G.COM should start banning these BF3 vs. MW3 articles now. Then again this is N4G.COM and they approve anything moronic and repetitive.
It's a shame that you feel that way about this piece, considering that the author actually intelligently states his case and makes a compelling argument, unlike most of the "OMG Battfield 3 Will Rulez" articles out there. And just so you know, no, I am not the author, he just writes for my site :)
The reason I and many others have stated this is quite frankly in the past month or so, there have been COUNTLESS articles on this subject...compelling or otherwise. It's now redundant to the point of lunacy. In the last week alone there have been at least 20 of these articles BF3 vs. COD. Enough already. I now this type of thread gets many 'hits' for the site, but honestly if N4G.COM wants to secure the rest of its dignity and legitimacy among other game online sites, (which it has lost over the years greatly I may add) it will stop approving articles that are repetitive and take an interest in what members are trying to approve. These BF3 vs. COD articles have become stale and foolish now...after about 100+ articles about it.
These BF3 bias articles are really sickening now, recycled articles being published over and over. Why are these articles not being thrown to the bin? Old old news that won't really make any difference.
See above. For those that don't like this sort of article I ask this simple question: why bother commenting on it? why bother reading it? If you don't like something then you should stay away from it. It's just common sense.
Hello, author here! Just wanted to say that I appreciate your feedback, both negative and positive. I would like to add that our website caters for "the mainstream" gamer, as opposed to solely the "hardcore" and so we hear variations of "So Battlefield 3 & Modern Warfare 3 look cool, but I can only afford one, which should I pre-order?" quite a bit. This piece was my attempt to give them an honest "steer" in what I strongly believe is the right direction for the majority of gamers. I appreciate this may not be your personal recommendation, but BF3 is mine for the reasons I list in the article. (NOTE: My favourite shooters of recent times are BF:BC2, CoD:WaW, BF2 & MW2 in that strict order & I played both BF3 & MW3 demos a couple of times each at Gamescom 2011)
