Surfer Girl interviews Destructoid, and Destructoid interviews Surfer Girl

After breaking the news on three major titles this year (L.A. Noire, Prince of Persia 4, and Brutal Legend,) Surfer Girl has become the darling tipster of the industry underground in the the video game press scene.

Tristero, associate editor of gaming portal Destructoid, asks the feisty diva of gaming gossip and news about her views on video games, the industry, Jade Raymond, Assassin's Creed, fl0w, and BioShock. Interesting interview, but the mutually redacted spaces were a bit strange... why include the questions if you're going to block out the answer? Good to know that she is connected to the industry, and her thoughts on creativity were interesting, but not much info about her otherwise.

This type of rumor milling is more detrimental than beneficial IMHO. It may build momentum for a title, but revealing a project that's 2 years away (and might be canceled at any time) could hurt the credibility of the industry... Some games shouldn't be revealed before it's ready.

Just look at assassins creed... It's probably a really good game, but the press (websites, magazines, blogs) hyped it so much that no game developer could withstand that pressure... but now the press is saying, "oh well, it didn't live up to the hype." Who's fault is that?

edit: yikes, it looks like some jerk hacked her blog. That sucks, why do people do stupid crap like that?
