November 13, 2007 - It's been a rough year for PlayStation 3 owners. Exclusives have been lost, a handful of titles have been bumped from the bottom line-bolstering holiday season, and Lair was Lair. With each disappointment, more and more fans have looked to Uncharted: Drake's Fortune -- a title whose screenshots have been lauded for months -- to be the saving grace of Sony's 2007.
But pinning so much on one title pretty much guarantees a letdown, doesn't it? Can Naughty Dog live up to more than a year of mouthwatering coverage and placate fans who forked over $600 to see stellar title after stellar title come out on non-PS3 platforms?
Yes. Yes, it can. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is the most fun I've had in a videogame this year.

I simply have had no doubt when it comes to Uncharted.I don't know why but the first time I caught wind of Uncharted I knew it would be great.Like I've said a many a times Uncharted was the final push that got me to get a PS3 this year (had it since June).I'll be yanking someones arm off when I pick this up.
But hey, this was a Naugthy Dog game and anyone expecting any less from ND is a fool. Great review and news.
this game is the sh1t. i did a drop kick on some character and cant even figure out how i did it........THE DROP KICK LOOKED CRAZY THOUGH.

IT seems as if every ps3 titles takes a 1.0-.5 point deductible. I consider it a bias. im sure others agree with me.

I say this game averages out to about 8.5, need a 9.5 or sales of 1 million or more to be AAA.

Using Metacritic to find whether or not a game is triple A or not based off an average is hardly the way to say whether or not the ps3 has a solid list of great games or not.
Warhawk on metacritic recieved somewhere around the 80's, but IGN let us know right off the bat that the hype of Incog creating an AAA experience was delivered. In the same way Play magazine stated Heavenly Sword was an AAA experience while many would say Ratchet and Clank is.
I mean we speak of reliable sources, but should scores from a site that simply compiles numbers and averages them out be something we should rightfully use for debates? No way brotha!
I mean i'm kind of sick of websites giving actual numbered scores for reviews. Kotaku already caught on by reviewing a game without any score. Instead of simply looking at a score then leaving we'd all be forced to sit down and READ rather then take a score and use it for attacks on other users. I mean the video review for Assassins Creed on Gametrailers sounded extremely negative yet they gave it a 9... What's going on there? Perhaps a jacked up reviewing system that the entire game industry should drop?

Uncharted may not be a totally original breakthrough in games, but its such pure fun to play that it doesn't have to be. Can't wait to pick it up next week.
Because all of those games you mentioned for the 360, are ALL not 360 exclusives. All of them are multiplat except for Forza. Halo 3 is coming to PC ofcourse!

Its a great game, you won't regret picking it up.
I would still recommend R&C. Its truly a great game. One of the best for ps3.

This game is potential system seller, but still, probably won`t sell like geow.. well, i remember that Syphon filter had multiplayer, it sad Uncharted don`t have, then it would be definetely geow like system seller.
A true AAA game is a true AAA game. I can't wait to see how Gamespot puts this, but I don't really care about ratings as much as I used to last year. Last year, if a game like Gears of war came out, every media outlet would give it a 9+ rating. Now, you have mixed ratings on several games, it makes it so confusing for us consumers. I loved the demo, so Im going to buy the game. I hope all other PS3 users do, too. I was going to buy it even if Gamespot pulled out a 6.0, because in this day of gaming, you need to play the game yourself, instead of trusting reviewers.
Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank and now Uncharted, if Sony can keep this going it's gonna be a great time for Sony and their fans.
Not to mention CoD4 and other great Multiplatform games that will Rock(band).
Now to build me a new rig and I'll be in gaming heaven.

This game is awsome! The gameplay is SWEEET! Sorry Xbox. this game can only be done on the PS3. Xbot360 fans can say PS3 is not selling well or what not, at the same time they should realized by now that SONY doesnt abandon their console <Hello XBOX>. When you really look at the #'s, Sony is in good health due to the PS2, PSP. Hell, PS2 <last gen> is still outselling XBOX360. Anyways, for the PS3 owners... THIS IS A BAD ASS GAME... and guess what.. it's a new idea... from a first party...not just another re-run.. aka HALO another FPS. /psych

i feel the graphics are better than geow. Textures quality is the same in both games but there are so many effects going on in uncharted. In my book a 10 in graphics but due to small issues at least a 9.5. Overall i felt it was underscored i mean 9.1 is fantastic but i personally enjoy it more than R&C which got a 9.4, so i was feeling a 9.5 from this but, it's still great anyways. Here i come nov 19th. No i'm not a fanboy just like uncharted better than gears sorry. lol
Good rating, i was expecting the game to be bashed because of the fact that theres no crosshairs in the middle of the screen 24/7(that was what bugged me most in the demo) i'm not really into these kinda games, the demo didnt chage my thought otherwise, mostly i just dont like the tropical setting nor the treasure-hunting plot.
For some reason, i've been getting bored of every game i play in about 10 minutes. I played resistance like hell since it was released, then over the summer I just started to get bored of all games. I got bored of HS in almost no time flat, i dunno wtf is wrong with me. I get bored of everything and i cant get anything to hold my attention anymore =[
All i can do now to hold myself is program, and hope I can get a game that will hold my attention for AT LEAST a week >.>

I've had this game paid off for almost six months now and even though I would have gotten it regardless, it's nice to see reviews like this coming in, especially from IGN. I still have my fingers crossed for it to come out this week!

I've spent the past month and a half wanting this game pretty badly, and the brief, positive review was a breath of fresh air for me after all of the somewhat long-winded reviews detailing Assassin's Creed today.
I want to buy this Day 1, but we'll see how that goes.
