Zelda II: The Adventure of Link Retro Review (Lens of Truth)

Lens of Truth writes - "In our next retro Review we put an odd entry to one of the greatest video game franchises in history under the Lens – Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. This sequel had a lot to live up to, after all, the original The Legend of Zelda set a new standard in the adventure genre. Does Zelda II deliver the same magical experience as the first? Hop in to find out." (Retro, The Legend of Zelda, Wii, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link) 6.0/10

I got to admit not one of my favorite Zelda games. I agree with the overall score!

i dont agree with this. I loved The Adventure of Link VERY much. It took me awhile to warm up to it because I was expecting maximum epic top down gameplay that was The Legend of Zelda. (Link to the past took care of this expectation)

the games pros to me are.....

seemingly updated graphics?
new style of play, more movement and control of Link

more NPCs and more dialog, MY NAME IS ERROR aside hahaha!

more enemies along with some old favorites

exploration, dungeons, multiple towns, side quests hidden items

SPELLS!

RPG-like elements

CONS... needed more dungeons, more towns, more enemies, few more abilities or sword techniques wouldnt have hurt.

more variation in the music (sick of the overworld music after beating the first 2 dungeons)

lame last boss, not enough Darknuts: http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki...

My score for this game would fall in line with an 8.9

offtopic: Octorock vs Ultros... who will emerge victorious??
