ATI Radeon HD 3800 Specs Leaked

An AMD presentation for its upcoming RV670 graphics processor (officially dubbed Radeon HD 3800), has been leaked to media.

Authenticated by several reputable sources, the slides confirm previous expectations regarding the next generation video card's specs and its DirectX 10.1 support.

AMD will officially launch its ATI Radeon HD 3800 series before the end of the month. The launch will consist of two new video cards, HD 3870 and HD 3850. The HD 3870 will be AMD's new hardcore card and is expected to launch at a retail price of $250. The HD 3850 will sell for less than $150. DirectX 10.1, which would ship with Windows Vista Service Pack 1, will be supported by both of these new cards.

Any word on Nvidia's new card? I never buy a new card without checking out what the other camp is doing. So far I have owned the following in my day - Nvidia 4200, ATi 9800 pro, ATi X800XL, and now I own an Nvidia 8800 GTS 640meg card.

What I REALLY want in the next gen cards is true HDTV support out of the box. None of this "creating your own resolution" bullshit. I want to be able to plug my computer into a TV and select 720/1080. It would be nice for developers to add that in game as an option as well.

I sure hope these turn out especially the 3870 they need a card that competes with the 8800...Also I am building a gaming rig for crysis later this month so I hope the 3870 turns out to be a great card because it would save a big chunk of change compared to the 8800gtx/ultra

Review - A Difficult Game About Climbing (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "A Difficult Game About Climbing is obviously frustrating, and I don’t exactly think it’s a fun pasttime, but it’s exponentially more enjoyable than the horrendous Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy. It’s actually beatable with enough trial and error. Its mechanics, whilst not exactly polished to the brim, work as intended, with no intentional input lag. It’s still clearly meant for Let’s Play youtubers to film themselves losing their minds over it, but it can still be a passable challenge if you’re up for the task."

Review - New Star GP (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "I loved that New Star GP ended up being nothing like what I was expecting from it. I thought I was going to get a simple and straightforward love letter to Virtua Racing, only for it to be something more akin to the best F1 racing games from the mid to late 90s, with a perfect blend of accessible physics and simulation elements. New Star GP is adorably retro in its visuals and vibes, but it’s got some surprising amount of depth and an interesting career mode. A little hidden gem in the racing scene, without a doubt."
