Well what can i say, europeans don't buy faulty products.

@zinkabassi

The Xbox360 was released in Europe on December 10 2005.
The ps3 was released in europe on March 23, 2007.
Thats 1 year and 4 months.

Good job!!! Anyone knows 360 figures?

darthv722464d ago (Edited 2464d ago )

somewhere around 20-21 mil.

The EMEAA territory certainly prefers Sony over any other. They need to buy another 20+ mil to tie with their PS2 numbers. Sony would love to see that happen. I'm sure it can be done over the next 3-5 years.

@ Dark - Yes It will be World No 1 in 2014-2015

@ Darth - Overtracking numbers for xbox . I think it's lower than 20 million

22 million? thats almost half the ps3's worldwide sales all in europe alone ... whats America doing? o_0;;

majiebeast2464d ago (Edited 2464d ago )

Inb4 Microsoft bbubububububut were 1 million ahead of sony in europe.

I either pissed off M$ fanboys who still believe microsoft sold more consoles in europe or people who work for microsoft.

bub162464d ago

xbox has been out a year longer so sony still has that huge gap to catch up on

CGI-Quality2464d ago

Considering the PS3 is ahead in the whole of European territories, the catching and surpassing has already taken place.

zinki332464d ago (Edited 2464d ago )

correction,..Year and a half later than 360 in Europe,... At least that is how I remember it.

Don't know what we are celebrating,. PlayStation is f*ing awesome,..always was,..
Considering getting Slim ,.. My day1 fatty is kinda loud nowadays,..

Neko_Mega2464d ago

Huge gap? If 3mill is huge, then what makes Wii's??

blackburn102464d ago

It's amazing what people consider a 'huge gap' these days. The PS2 and PS1 were ahead of the competition by several tens of millions of units. Now that was a huge gap.

lol why do gamers even care about sales figures? sorry let me rephrase that.....

Only Fanboy douchebags care about sales figures since they can run along to the other console fanboys and go ohhh we outsold you by 4 million narf!

...shutup and game

Why o why2464d ago

True, none of us get jack sh1t from any of em but this is a sales article. You may come across as a party pooper. Im just glad that irrespective of sonys position they continued to pump more games i like than the other 2. Celebrate that sh1t i say. Well done sony, keep pumping.

bumnut2464d ago

I agree with your comment but think gamers should care a little about sales.

If sales are very low, your console of choice would not be very well supported (jaguar or 3do for example)

MARKUS_MAX1MUS2464d ago

Sales to a slight degree are obviously important for growth of a new console but when it gets to the stage of each having sold in the millions sales articles are just used as willy waving contests by Fanboys

LORD-PHOENIX2464d ago

have poor support gaming wiise

theonlylolking2464d ago

I dont remember gamers care as much about sales this gen as they did in previous gens.

DaTruth2464d ago

I didn't even know how many PS2's and XBOX's were sold until well into the 360/PS3 gen!
