They both look identical save for some shots on the PS3 where the textures seem to be a tad bit sharper. Look at the last image on the first page...that tattoo on his left forehead seems to stand out more.

yep, i'll have to agree here. 2nd image for PS3 you can read "Mathematical Models" a little better.

4th image for PS3 has a better red for the crates.

it's very very close. if i had to chose i'd pick PS3 but it's really neither for me. PC FTW!

BakedGoods1796d ago

Wow, nice work. This versus is proof the Lens of Truth are 360 fanboys with their always 'washed out' PS3 shots.

SilentNegotiator1796d ago

PS3 version has more active AA, too. Look at all of the edges in the "Mathematical Models" image.

are we looking at the same screenshots?
Your completely off here MicrocutsX2

First off there is no "Levels" to adjust in the game. I own it so I should know. Which means this images were adjusted like in Photoshop or some crap.

Secondly: You forgot to mention AA. It's definitely better on the Xbox just look at that 4th image... By the way same image is missing shadows on the PS3.

3rd: First image on the 2nd page, lighting waaaayy better on the Xbox. Just look at that crane arm..

4th: look at the crap on the 5th image on the 2n page... Did you not see those holes.. S&@it that looks bad.

I will agree on one thing the textures on the PS3 seem a be a little (and i mean a little) sharper on the PS3..

Kiroe1796d ago

You are completely wrong about the level adjustments. The in game level adjustments are in the options panel and displays 3 images of Adam (Black, Grey, White) with slider controls to adjust. So you might want to do some research before spouting off nonsense.

BlackKnight1796d ago

It is back and forth, the one math book's texture looks better on PS3, but then the screen shot of the pilot next to the craft shows clearly much lower quality texture on PS3.

Trading blows.

LOL Kiroe. I wasn't even talking to you. I was talking to MicrocutsX2, but since you took it so personal tiz will explain.

Even with the "Proper Levels" manipulated... I mean adjusted(lol the shadows are still missing on the PS3, the anti-aliasing is better on the xbox and lights are self explanatory... Fanboy goggles engage!

Also, looks like the PlayStation 3 version has reflections on the video columns (page 2, image 3) that are missing on the Xbox 360. Also, the lighting in page 1, image 4 looks a bit odd on the 360. But a majority of the images are nearly identical. Great job Eidos!

Gordo7891796d ago

nearly identical. I think it is going to come down to personal preference or just owning one console or the other.

RyuDrinksTheDew1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

i have it on 360, and it looks fantastic, and from the looks of things, the PS3 got itself great looking version as well.

i applaud Eidos for the hard work to keep things even. :)

tdrules1796d ago

indeed, if the console versions were that bad they wouldn't get past certification

BrightFalls761796d ago

I had the opportunity to see both on the same 60" tv for a good about of time and wish every multiplat looked this close across PS3/360. They did a great job with this title, other developers take notice!

jaidek1796d ago

I completely agree. Eidos did development the right way, in parrallel. None of this porting crap.
