I wouldn't be surprised if it does go multi. But that's no reason to think it it. Versus is hidden again because XIII-2 is coming out soon. They don't want to compete with themselves is all and take some light off XIII-2
Does it matter if it's PS3 exclusive? YES, Xbox 360 is the reason XIII had no towns.
I still hope for this game. Might be the last big exclusive for the PS3.

That's what happened when it's a PS3 exclusive. I think $E are still waiting for the 360 to sold around 9 million units to make it 10 million in Japan. Which is theoretically impossible to make it a valid excuse for a port.
They are hoping the anticipation brings in a lot of pre orders also.
You think maybe, just maybe, Square-Enix is waiting on some sort of word from Sony about when the next system is out, so that they're certain it should be on the PS3 and NOT the PS4?

You see SE learned that reusing the same game engine is more economical than tweaking/creating a new one for future games. This is the case for most shooters out there. Case in point: SE is really hugging the Western culture when it comes to maximizing available tools, rather than working on a new one, which proves costly these days.
Wait till after 13-2 is released and I bet some big info will be given, even a release date in JP. (import d1 btw)
FFVII was released in 1997
FFVIII was released in 1999
FFIX was released in 2000
FFX was released in 2001
FFXI was released in 2002
and then...
FFXII was released in 2006

FFXIII (and the unfinished FFXIV) was released (US) in 2010

FFXIII-2 will likely release in 2012 but my prediction is that FFversus13 will be released 4 years after FF13.

I just want it to be a good game.
I doubt FFXIII would have been good even if it HAD been an exclusive title (seriously, if Square can make a good RPG on 8-bit and 64-bit consoles, they should be able to make a good RPG on multiplat HD consoles. They had no excuse for some of the choices they made with FFXIII's design).
