REVIEW: Deus Ex: Human Revolution's combination of gameplay and player choice combine to make a title that gamers definitely should pick up.
I will have to agree! It's a great game.
It is a good game but I would be hard pressed to call it great. The AI, or lack thereof is the reason. I am playing on Deus Ex difficulty and the AI can be beaten by simple rote memorization. Inexcusable in this day and age. How many times can AI stop in exactly the same place and read the same crate label for exactly 3.5 seconds? A good portion of the game was developed in Montreal and one cannot but wonder if the AI programmers from the original Splinter Cell jumped ship to Eidos. The game captures much of the sleekness that Crysis 2 failed to provide but a future world where everyone is a drug dealer or prostitute - who else hangs out on the street or in hallways doing nothing - is a bit much for GOTY.
