Developer InLight Entertainment reckons being a fun and affordable platform is key to the DS' success.
It was speaking exclusively to Eurogamer about its upcoming quirky game Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys! for DS, and praised Nintendo for its clever strategy.
I don't think it's just the price that appeals to the audience. Software also plays a role, especially for Nintendo.
I'm pretty damn sure the PSP could outdo the Nintendo DS in a heartbeat if it had the right price (I'm sorry but $199-$229 just doesn't cut it, despite the bundles and whatnot) and a huge range of games for it. Besides, since the PSP is technically a "portable PS2" shouldn't it be under $130?
If that was the case, like I said before, that would totally destroy the NDS. And before I'm hounded, I own a PSP (first generation) myself and honestly, I feel cheated.
OF course it is price(main reason for it selling so good since day 1, like Wii), duhh
