DMC 4 In Higher Demand On PS3 Than Xbox 360

Capcom's upcoming Devil May Cry 4 is going to be one big game once it launches for the PS3 and Xbox 360 next year. At one gaming convention though it seems that the PS3 version is in higher demand.

In World Wide sales, The Xbox 360 version will outsell the ps3 in game sales for DMC4 3 to 1 easily.

the controls on the 360 are suppose to suck from readin about them on this site..but it is suppose to look better on the 360 version...so choose between them two...I personally will be getting it on my ps3 because I have all my older ones on the my ps2!

Remember the patition thing a while back in march? I bet that those people that signed it relized if they dont buy DMC 4 on the PS3 then Capcom would have a justification for releasing it on the 360 because the PS3 fanboys are too imature to handle a multiplatform title that is X PS3 exclusive. Now that the PS3 version of DMC 4 is in more demand it means only one thing, DMC fans value Sony and will remain loyal to them.

So will you say the same thing about any other last gen game with a new game? Most old games look bad a couple years later when comparing them to new games. That's just how things go. It doesn't mean the new game will suck. If you want it for $25 though you can always wait a year after release and it should be down around that price.

I agree with 1.1 part because the proof is too great even from their own games like Lost Planet(DMC4 is a very colorful game with lots of detail) It was an honest opinion.

I have yet to hear or read why the devs would get sloppy with the 360 controls when so much was put into the game as it stands(preference for the Dualshock for this type of game is a different matter which is what I think this dude is saying or missunderstanding).

Firstly its in japan; capcom is a japanese company, sony is a japanese company, people will play what they know since they are used to the sony control scheme.
Now if it was in a neutral contry, australia or canada maybe.....then maybe it would peak peoples interest IMO.

360 gamers buy lots of games. And this won't be any different. The 360 is in need of some more good action games, and I'm sure that This will sell fairly well on the 360 because of that. As a matter of fact, unless the PS3 install base gets up to 360 numbers worldwide, the 360 version will probably sell more.

this franchise was built around the sony controller. seriously as a hardcore DMC fan i dont understand how you can play this game at a high level on 360 controller, it is vastly different and also the ps3 controller has 10 bit sensitivity.

360 controller is better for FPS, thats for sure. but for everything else the dualshock design is better.

look if u play DMC1 u see the sign has has "Devil may cry" and a figure of trish holding im guess ebony and ivory next to the sign, which is funny cuz he does no trish until ur like half way of the game.O and since DMC3 is a prequel of 1 then arnt u supposed to see the figure there aswell (cmon every1 dont say time flies by as u can see dante is a big and honestly doesnt give a s*** how the store looks out/in side so i no he wouldnt have the time to change it). then in the ending its changed in to "Devil never cry" (which is hypocritical cuz didnt dante cry in DMC3 ehding? part 1 he says "US devils never cry") im guessing trish did it cuz shes the new "assistent" then the anime had NO relevation to the game AT ALL. and wait theres more in DMC2 its now bak to Devil May Cry and at the end of DMC2 he goes to hell to do wat Sparda and vergil did, fight the baddies and the portal close with him in hell aswell SO does DMC2 finnish the actual story to DMC series? i mean if sparda was strong y couldnt he come bak from hell,vergil became mundus's b**ch and thats how he left hell so hmmmm.... I didn't think it was possible, but it's true. There are very few people in Japan who will buy anything foreign. Samsung recently realised this and have stopped selling any product in Japan simply because there are so many people who won't buy from out of the country.

I can see why this is as far as the Automotive industry is concerned, (American auto makers couldn't design a quality compact car to save their lives), but when it comes to consoles, it surprising how few people are willing to support a local corporation. I guess that's why the US is doing so pathetically economy wise. Americans have become their own worst nightmare.

I got rocked for the first few levels until I got to grips with how to configure the combos and stuff. After that it became easier, it certainly wasn't a cakewalk but it wasn't overly punishing later on.

The reason why Devil May Cry 4 was recently in higher demand on the Playstation 3 is because the Xbox 360 has SO MANY other great games that are BETTER than Devil May Cry 4. Why would anyone in Japan who is assigned to write about Xbox 360 games want to write about Devil May Cry 4, when s/he knows that Lost Odyssey is a game that could be written about instead...Devil May Cry 4 stands out more on the Playstation 3 because there is less competition.

It's much more ergonomically correct, and the analog stick and D-pad are where they should be, as opposed to the PS3 controller.
