(NSFW) Top Five - Best Games No One Played (Volume I)

The greatest part of being a gamer is the power of choice. There are thousands upon thousands of games that we can play, enjoy, and beat. Sometimes, while searching through piles of titles, we come across certain gems that we love but that don’t sell so well. This list is to honor those titles that are amazing and that most people probably never got a chance to play. Hope you guys enjoy it! (Culture, panzer dragoon, PC, Phantom Dust, PS3, Retro, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure)

Joe Danger is an amazing game that no one played.

What? It's was one of the best selling titles the year it came out. It even broke even on the day of release.

Great game. Although I can't even finish it. The last few levels are freakin hard.

Same here, last levels are excruciatingly difficult.

I didn't know that it sold well. I mean most of my friends have never heard of it. I'm glad to hear they made their money back, after all only 4 guys worked on it. :)

Geez, I remember seeing gameplay videos for Phantom Dust and Breakdown way back and was really psyched. Then some wave of amnesia hit me (which ended up erasing my Phantasy Star Online data too. 0_0) and I never got the games. I should go hunting for those two titles again...........after picking up Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne.

I am disappointed though, yet another list missing Omega Boost, Killer 7 and (the recently bought and finished! :D) Dark Sector.

I really, really wanted to play Killer 7, but I haven't had the chance just yet. Keep in mind that this is only "Volume I" though, so it's not the only list of "best games no one played" you'll see from me. :]

You gotta play it man! One of the best games ever made, IMO :D Although, don't let the stale gameplay fool you. You must let the game grow on you.. If I can explain it like that

No one played Killer 7 because no one could understand what it was. I played it for like five hours and was still thinking the game would wind up being one giant hallucination.

Nocturne is a must. Actually that and Panzer Dragoon Saga are two of the best JRPGs I've ever played in my 30+ years as a gamer.
Fullmetalevolust  +   1323d ago
Panzer Dragoon Saga remains my favorite Jrpg along side with the Shining Force 3 series on Sega saturn. They don't make them like these anymore. Shame, Sega! Put these titles on XBLA and the PSN for crying out loud!
bangoskank  +   1323d ago
Only one volume of Shining Force III was released in NA. This was a tragedy as I never got to play the other two volumes.

what about voodoo vince? am i the only one who loved that game to tears

i also think dreamfall would be appropriate for this list

breakdown and Phantom Dust....memories that will go unforgotten...

Sega needs to put Panzer Dragoon Saga out on Live Arcade...would definitly pay $10-15 for it. After that start on the HD remake and conitnue the series.

You win, I played none of those games

the worst thing about panzer dragoon saga is they actually gave away the first disc on the official magazine in the uk, so we got to try it and find just how good it was, the trouble was when it came to go out and buy a copy it was impossible to bloody find one, i would be honestly surprised if the number of copies released in the uk reached three figures.

and there wasn't dozens of online stores to order from then either, if ebay was around back then, i'd never heard of it.

and now sega have lost the source code?
can't they reverse engineer the game from a copy on disc or something? or have they not even got a copy?

if the game was awful it wouldn't matter, but it was an amazing game.

i've got breakdown though, a pretty good game actually, i really should play through the whole game one day.

Glad to see some love for Panzer Dragoon Saga! Many SEGA RPG's seem to be underrated, yet they remain my favourite RPG's of all time. Panzer Dragoon Saga is definitely the best I ever played, but I also loved Shining Force 3 (I own a Japanese copy of Scenario 3), Dragon Force, Shining the Holy Ark and Skies of Arcadia. Amazing games that defined my life as a gamer, more or less.

I did own Panzer Dragoon Saga years ago, but I sold it when I upgraded to a Dreamcast in 1999 :( Biggest regret of my life.
