Just post some pictures of ps3/360 games that are also on the Wii. I mean, that's what Nintendo does, lol.

Despite the ever insistent Darksiders developers (With the AMAZING technical wizardry of creating a sub-HD, no AA ps3/360 game), all I really expect is that the WiiU's games look "caught up"

Shooting the games through an emulator and saying that's what WiiU games might look like has sorta been done before...

WiiU does not upscale wii games. Author needs to do some research.

"if Nintendo added the ability of upscaling, or re-released them"

Nice reading, Lizard. Have a cookie. You guys could learn from Lizard.

If PS3 had the ability to upgrade itself using fairy dust, it'd be fantastic as well.
Until then nobody gives a fuck about features a console doesn't have.

That's some angry, mis-guided stuff, LiaMario.

Might I challenge you, now that you've realized that you misjudged the article, that you take the time to READ IT again before taking another go?

Because this sentence was not used as a shot at the WiiU by either Lizard nor the author.

In context, a thing that requires having read the article, the author is saying that Nintendo franchises can finally meet HD. And these pictures are 'as if' the WiiU were upscaling the Wii titles.

No potshots, no criticism.....a nice little article showing how games might look on Nintendo's next-gen game system.

And frankly, I don't think there are many examples for the author to be comparing anyway. The playstation TWO did a good job with ps1 textures, I know.

Liamario1782d ago

not misguided at all. As I indicated, the article is deceptive.
And even if the intentions of the author were innocent, the "article" is pointless and has been covered in the past probably under the dolphin emu.
It's not a news item

well since most tvs upscale video out puts, all it has to be is played threw an hdmi cord and presto

SilentNegotiator1782d ago

That is a MASSIVE misconception.

Upscaling absolutely does NOT bring you any such quality from 480p to 720p+ with []xAA, as in the pictures in this article.

A higher resolution literally gives you more pixels of detail. Upscaling does not replicate these 'missing' details not found in a lower resolution game, it expands and smooths what it has. And just as well, anti-aliasing is the correcting of edges through I guess you might call a 'smudging' type process. But without those details that would come a higher resolution - if the upscaling could even do 'proper' post-processing AA - it's smudging less detail.

Nice article.

No offense, but i hope that they look way better than that. That Zelda HD E3 demonstration really sold me on this console.

games on the wiiu will look alot better then on ps3 and xbox...simply cause nintendo will all million colkors not just black gray and a few color most hd games use today
