Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga IGN PS3 Review

There's just something about the LEGO Star Wars series that works. With the first game, released in 2005, developer Traveller's Tales took two great brands, smashed them together and created something instantly familiar yet refreshingly new.

The effort was a grand departure from the vast majority of licensed games, which are often nothing more than transparent attempts to wring a few measly Republic Credits out of an established name. LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Star Wars II were both successful ventures -- a rare combination of kid-friendly gameplay that also grabbed the hearts and minds of gamers with more mature tastes.

That's why reviewers (IGN) were excited to get their hands on the latest member of TT's blocky little family: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, which pulls LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Star Wars II together in one cohesive package.

Check out their review.

...is that they are so darned easy to get through. My 7 year old Son managed to get through the first one the same day we purchased the thing. Luckily our local gaming store had a 7 day right of return or exchange policy.

These games are fun and look great but just too easy and only worth a rental.

And it was only $15. Great game, with solid graphics and gameplay, not to mention a nice sense of humor. Nicer still, there're areas that can only be accessed by characters you need to unlock/purchase.
A shame that judging by the comments section, this game will go unnoticed.

Been playing it all day, it is more than the original 2 games and fun to play. The controls have been tweeked and the graphics have been improved. IMO it is a good play and with the added online co-op mode is worth the money.

Kinda surprised that it is mostly recent games. Sad that Battlefront 2 did so well.

Did it all for the wookie. Then I stuck a cookie up

Smacking a wookiee... is that what they're calling it nowadays? Back in my day, we called it cuddling the Taun-taun.

Profchaos1872d ago

Massively unpopular opinion but my favourite star wars gaming moments were exploring Tatooine in the Phantom menace

TheTony3161872d ago

Right? It was relaxing in a way.
