Top Five – Games That Don’t Exist But Absolutely Should

SFL Chronicle: This one is about my top five games “that don’t exist, but absolutely should.” You know, games that by all accounts should exist and be making developers lots of money, but which inexplicably might never actually see the light of day. On second thought, I’ll just shut up and keep it to myself until I can afford my own gaming company and then somehow make millions off of these obvious ideas.

I true Banjo Threeie would be incredible.

I'd also love a sequel to Donkey Kong 64. But since Rare is now owned by Microsoft, it will never happen. :(

...unless Nintendo buy Rare back. *crosses fingers*

I'm not even joking. I genuinely believe the Wii (or WiiU) would recieve a massive boost in sales if Rare started making their old style of games for Nintendo again. Hell, I know I'd get back into playing my Wii if Rare started releasing games for it.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo owns the Donkey Kong IP so they could make a sequel to DK 64 if they really wanted to.

Pozzle1809d ago

Yeah, but it wouldn't have the same ~feel~ as a DK sequel that was made by Rare.

Skies of Arcadia 2
Grandia 4
Tactics Ogre 2
Breath of Fire 6
a new Brave Fencer Musashi
Legend of Dragoon 2

I agree with #4 we don't have a good pirate sandbox game

showtimefolks1809d ago

for such a talented studio MS should actually make great use of them but its sad the way they are used

Venox20081809d ago

if i'm not mistaken all tallents from rare stayed at nintendo..ninty sold dying company already

showtimefolks1809d ago (Edited 1809d ago )

but either way MS should still use rare in a better way.

here is hoping for a much better year with xbox360 exclusives wise in 2012 and beyond

Venox20081809d ago

@showtimefolks when Microsoft let down me two years in a row, I started not to believe in them... I'm talking about games and how you say "hardcore" games, not just Kinect titles, like they are doing now.. I am not talking about multiplats, because they are multi, not dedicated to one console only..

..about modern Rare..hmm, if they aren't doing anything about their famous francises, they should sell it and I think better to nintendo, because I am tired of waiting Conker 2!!! :) and of course other great games too..

MorbidPorpoise1804d ago

Saddest thing is as Rare kept all their IP's, Microsoft are sitting on some awesome franchises and doing nothing at all with.. do Microsoft even know that they have access those IP's lol?

dotwithshoes1809d ago

Not the same group at Rare as it was in the Nintendo days. And honestly, I've read less fanboyish articles coming from admitted fanboys.

KFox1091809d ago

I don't see how complaining about these companies being in the state they're makes it a fanboy article. It's not as if I was praising these developers to the sky, which are, in fact, some of my favorites. It's quite the contrary.

Care to elaborate? I'm curious.
