"I have to say that I didn’t and was holding the button to turn the PS3 off and then realised there was a quit function on the same menu."

*facepalm*

First time this guy uses a PS3?! /s

I believe that is poor user interface design if you have a lot of confused users.

So yeah blame the user, that is how all great user interfaces are made!

MisterAV2203d ago

SO how do you exit from a game? Or do you shutdown everytime the console?

And I don't believe it's a LOT of users... maybe just 1-2...

gamingdroid2203d ago (Edited 2203d ago )

I don't know how many complained, but clearly enough for support to post an official message....

However, my comment said" IF you have a lot of confused users" and was aimed at the original comment GrieverSoul made which just essentially blamed all the users.

Ironically, I have actually come across people that just shut down the console or try to eject the disc.

edit: LOL, just found this http://www.randomprodinc.co...

It's a fake spam tweet account retweeted by Sony support.

I'm mainly a Xbox gamer, but got a PS3 for the exclusives but don't play it nearly as much as the Xbox. Also what gamingdroid said.

Miiikeyyy2203d ago

How retarded is this guy? when you quit a game - home button > quit game. So it's the same principle for Iplayer

yen8882203d ago

I usually just press the home button rather than having to hold it down

For some reason, this story made me nostalgic of the days when we had no in-game XMB...
