Top 10 Fighting Games of This Generation

After a sad and unfortunate slump in the days of the PS2, the fighting game has come back in full force. EVO is bigger than ever, the fighting game community is incredibly strong, and new fighting games are coming out all the time. It feels like the old days of playing Street Fighter II in the arcades all over again. So let's take a look back at how we got here. Here are the ten best fighting games of this console generation. (Marvel vs Capcom 3, PS3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: HD Remix, Super Street Fighter IV, Tekken 6, Wii, Xbox 360)

Sad to see Tekken so low on the list, but definitely understandable ( wasnt as great as Dark Resurrection, or the same appeal as T3 all those years ago...). Hopefully Tekken Tag Tournament 2 revives the series to its former glory.

My Top 5:
5. Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars
4. SoulCalibur IV
3. Super Street Fighter IV
2. Mortal Kombat
1. Super Smash Bros Brawl

MvC 3 doesn't deserve a spot on that list. TvC was such a better and more enjoyable game despite having a unknown cast!

Horrible list. Tekken 5 and 6 are not the same at all. Items can be turned off in Brawl. Where is Virtua Fighter? Marvel vs. Capcom 3 IS the most UNBALANCED fighting game to release this generation and it's sitting at number 2. How? Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is better. Unable to see how it "barely" made the list.

Yeah. TVC is incredible... It should have beat a few other Capcom games on the list just because, well, when you buy it... You can be fairly certain your copy won't become inferior shortly after.
