MMGN.com: How long will Minecraft last?

MMGN.com: "In 2009, production on a sandbox building game began. The goal of the developer was to allow players to do whatever they wanted. Since then, however, Minecraft has become much more than a sandbox building game which allows players to do whatever they wanted. It became the king. The game to own. Perhaps Minecraft’s success was unexpected, but it was inevitable that something came out of nowhere to spice up a dull and boring gaming scene." (Android, Casual games, iPad, iPhone, Minecraft, PC, Wii U, Xbox 360)

This article leaves out 1 key factor. The games he mentioned didn't have large online commumities(or online at all). Minecraft servers are really where all the good stuff are. That's where the best builds come from and what gives it tremendous longevity.

Maybe he doesnt play online? Lol

Even so i think that is no reason to leave something vital like that out.

This game is too awesome. I just wish more people would be on at any given time on the server i play on :(
