IGN - How Sony Keeps Pumping Out PS3 Exclusives

IGN - PlayStation 3 has, by far, the most first-party support of any of its contemporaries. With Sony Computer Entertainment's recent acquisition of Sucker Punch Productions, the developer behind Sly Cooper and Infamous, the company now boasts 15 studios creating content that's only destined for its own systems.

The story is too old to be commented.
MrDead2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

Time to put petty wars to bed and just buy one, if your a true gamer you cant ignore Sonys exclusives and if you do because of some moronic loyalty to a system then you lose out.

Also you do get a Blu-ray player.

ElementX2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

Couldn't the same be said about Sony fanboys who refuse to buy a 360? True gamers would see each system as having it's own strengths. XBLA has some amazing games coming out, I just bought Bastion and From Dust. Why wait for PSN releases? I own both consoles, prefer to buy my games on PS3, however I really don't buy that many PS3 exclusives. I'm not into GT5, Ratchet and Clank, I tried Yakuza but just couldn't get into it, Killzone 3 is alright, but I'm not a fan of Resistance 2 (hopefully 3 will be better). I enjoy inFamous and Uncharted, so I guess Sony exclusives are a mixed bag for me.

*EDIT* Nice, phantom disagrees, btw I didn't disagree with MrDead's comment. I just wish people would agree or disagree and leave a comment.

consolez_FTW2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

Oh, ok I could see why PS exclusives would be a mixed bag for some. Guess it depends what games you prefer. PLus, it's better to own both consoles than just one.

InTheLab2271d ago

"I just wish people would agree or disagree and leave a comment. "

Should be a requirement to agree or disagree. Along with the ridiculous bubble system that punishes newcomers and trolls alike, this site is not a good place for discussion.

mindedone2271d ago

Yes, the same thing CAN be said, but that's irrelevant to the discussion.

MrDead2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

@ElementX

Yes loyalty to a system is stupid, I dont own a 360 mainly because I own a PC as well as a PS3 and the 360 dosent have the range of exclusives that appeal to me like the PS3's and PC's. My nephew always brings his 360 when he visits, we do a swap and I play Halo to death, I own a original Xbox because of halo 1 & 2 and also because of Riddick.

I would always consider getting an Xbox it just this gen I havent had the need to. As for the wii I just dont have any interest at all in getting one.

Edit: Also I dont like the word fanboy lets call them by their real names, children

darthv722271d ago

So would you agree that those who choose to play others are equally as much a gamer as those who choose to play only 1?

The whole loyalty thing is the basis for the fanboy wars to begin with. Each to their own. I can respect a person if they play one system so long as they can respect my choice to play 10 systems (past and present).

Neither one of us are any more of a gamer than the next. The perception of 'gamer' or 'core' has certainly changed over time. Not entirely for the better I might add.

For these things are by choice, no sense in degrading someone if they dont play at the same level as the next guy. Bottom line is....we all like to game no matter the platform.

NewMonday2271d ago

@ElementX
having a mixed bag is actually a good thing, something for everyone.

i'm not into GT5 or LBP, but i love games like Heavy Rain, inFAMOUS, Uncharted...

WhiteLightning2271d ago

@InTheLab

Couldn't agree more, bubbles for you

I went from 3 bubbles to 4 then to 5...trolls wanted to start arguments on my comments, me being the one not to take crap argues with them and I go back to 3 bubbles and I did the same not learning from my mistake and I'm down to 2.....really crap system to be honest

Apparently to the mods you can't defend yourself you have to "rely" on the system. I've tried bubbling down people who deserve it and nothing....to be honest it's usualy the people who have like 5-7 bubbles.

<sigh> I miss my bubbles, I like commenting

M-A-R-S-H-A-L-L2271d ago

Maybe some people don't ant both consoles. Did you ever think about that Element? Or is this natural to throw out comments like that?

2271d ago
WhiteLightning2271d ago

@darkride66 I'm the same, I'm more critical towards Microsoft because of what they've turned into, I'm not going to be blind and take all this Kinect crap. Sony has treted me as a core gamer with exclusives, support and more games this year and for that I think they deserve to be cut a little slack. If it was the othet way round I would be the same with Sony

stephmhishot2271d ago

I'll say this, the reason why I chose a PS3 over a 360 in 2006 was because I had trust in the Sony brand thanks to the two previous generations. Only one of my friends had the original XBox and outside of Halo, the thing was barely touched by him. Then MS dropped it like a bad habit and moved on while Sony continued to support PS2.

I was shell shocked by the PS3's initial price tag for sure, but I knew that it would be worth it in the long run. I opted against getting a 360 in 2005 and actually bought my first PSP and I have gotten many enjoyable experiences out of it.

I really just had no desire to pay 50 bucks for Live. I'm not a big online player, but I didn't want to get screwed out of the other aspects of the service. Granted, things like Netflix and what not were not offered on Live at that point, but considering my meager online play, I can only imagine how pissed I'd be if I was basically paying 60 bucks a year right now for the right to watch my Netflix account.

While Sony may not offer Halo and Gears of War, it certainly offers much more variety. Sony is just more willing to take chances. Sometimes it works (Heavy Rain) sometimes it doesn't (Lair) sometimes its a great experience but since it isn't a big name it doesn't sell (Folklore), but they're willing to stick their neck out there.

MS plays it safe, they have their Holy Trinity of Halo, Gears and Forza, and that's fine. Look at the music industry. Drake, Wayne, Gaga, they know what works and they stick with it. Nothing wrong with that. I'd just rather have more variety gamewise.

frelyler2271d ago

I tried a 360 and got burned bc of faulty disc drive. This was bf m$ did the free repairs and I lost 400 $ bc of it. M$ did do free repairs, but only after I traded my broken 360 at gamestop while getting a lecture about how much better it was than the ps3. Fyi I still own the same ps3 4 years later and have never had a problem. I am brand loyal now bc I know sony will put out a qualtiy product, m$ on the other hand had really cheap components and tried to pass their problem onto consumers. That was a dick mo e and bc of that I will not buy m$ products. I don't care if I miss out on a few games bc I still feel anger about the whole situation. That's being a smart consumer and that is why a lot of people don't like m$.

LadyGaga2271d ago

@ Darkride

You're lucky you even have one. Your trash site/posts contribute to the main problem of this otherwise excellent site.

ufo8mycat2271d ago

Difference is theres hardly any reason to get a 360.

People who don't ahve a 360 aren't missing much at all, though people who don't have a PS3 are missing out on a hell of a lot more

starchild2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

It's interesting, the PS3 definitely has more exclusives than the 360, and that is one thing that I think Sony does far better than Microsoft.

On the other hand, from a personal perspective it somehow doesn't amount to much in the real world for me.

Most of the games I like are multiplatform games like Red Dead Redemption, Oblivion, Castlevania, Dead Space, Assassin's Creed, etc.

And when it comes to the exclusives I actually like enough to buy, it just turns out that there are more or less the same amount on the 360 and PS3.

I really love some PS3 exclusives like Uncharted 2 and God of War 3, and that is enough for me to own the console, but a lot of PS3 exclusives just don't appeal that much to me.

Objectively I think it is great that Sony offers so many exclusives, but subjectively the reality is that many of those exclusives simply don't grab me.

On the PS3 I enjoy franchises like Uncharted, GOW, Killzone, and inFamous; while on the 360 I enjoy franchises like Gears of War, Halo, Fable, and Alan Wake. Everything else I really care about is multiplatform, and I tend to get those games on the PC.

My point is, it really comes down to personal opinion and taste. Some people prefer the PC, some the 360, some the PS3, some the Wii, and some will prefer to own multiple systems. None of those preferences is wrong.

Achemki2271d ago

@NewMonday
That's the beauty of it and why it works.

For me, I skipped GranTurismo5 and ModNation Racers but snagged up Motorstorm Apocalypse & WipEout HD. 4 exclusive racers, all VASTLY different, and I bought the two that I had an itch for at the time. No obligation to buy them all, don't have to justify my purchase(s) with planetxbox360.com style "top 5 reasons" lists or pre-order/beta stats, lol. Just in and out. Next.

StarWolf2271d ago

im not into ANY current ps3 games anymore, theyve pretty much ruined them all. R:FOM amazin, Socom confronatition after the patches was decent, KZ2 pretty cool...... now all three games are COD clones with different character skins. MAG was boring, LBP boring, R&C too easy but enjoyable on ps2 days.

If you are into shooters, no point in PS3 exclusives since Gears and Halo are the best in shooters. I love my PS3 for 3rd party games and trophies. Hopefully Starhawk doesnt suck but who knows.

P_Bomb2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

There's an irony in how you can find minutae in all these current exclusives to mull over, yet you still tow the company line with Halo & Gears being "teh best" despite their own flaws.

Waiting for a new Halo game every 2 years with low 80 averages like Halo Wars and ODST, or a remake of a game I played 10 years ago isn't as fun to me as playing arguably better games in the meantime. Definitely not as pointless as nostalgia.

Bolts2271d ago

Nobody need both systems. Between my PS3 and my gaming PC there simply isn't enough time in the day to play all the games I have...and I spend a lot of time playing games.

Plus owning two consoles is just pointlessly redundant like owning a Droid and an iPhone. The experience between the two isn't that far apart and I'm pretty sure that you can live just fine without playing both Gears of War and Uncharted.

Run_bare2271d ago

i actually bought xbox 360 twice (2nd one is second hand) and they both rrod and don't feel like another one.

Tru_Blu2271d ago

Ya I don't get all the disagrees. I only own a PC and PS3 mainly because I'm on a budget. I don't freak out and go buy every PS3 exclusive either. Some games appeal to me some don't. GT5 for instance.. I'm not a big fan of racing games and didn't buy that so guess I'm some kind of troll also.

Bleach2271d ago

No because the exclusives that are put out on the 360 are created by talentless studios are not really worth any note. The ones that did have gone multiplatform and we come full circle to the 360s main problem. It doesn't have any games.

Kurt Russell2271d ago

I'm getting on Uncharted 3 and Gears 3 this year... 3rd personing out of my mind! :D

nycredude2270d ago

Elementx

So you think all sony exclusives aren't that interesting so it is a better idea to drop a couple hundred dollars on a system so you don't have to wait a couple of months to play a downloadable game?

How is anyone suppose to take you seriously?

WrAiTh Sp3cTr32270d ago

I just can't get into most of those games from Sony. There are a few that I enjoy and I wish I could get into more of them. I do need to pick up a PS3 again though, because that's the only way I'll be able to play Folklore.

SuicideShaun2270d ago

Thank you for being a non-ignorant console owner. Dead says to "just buy one" How about no? I'll buy the games I want to, whether it's pc, ps3 or on xbox. I'll buy r3 because I love resistance, but I'm not going to buy uncharted because I don't like it. I'll get forza on xbox because I like it more than GT. I'll play what I please and sorry to say it guys, but not everyone thinks all of the ps3 games are the best.

bennyace2270d ago (Edited 2270d ago )

@frelyler

Just a question here!

If you have problems with your PS3 (I know poeple who did!)... does that mean that you will stop gaming?

gamingdroid2270d ago (Edited 2270d ago )

True gamers:

- play what they like and do NOT bash others for liking something they don't!
- don't close themselves up to the belief that one system is superior to another. It just simply means you now have limited yourself to enjoy only some of the great games out there irregardless of the system.

That would mean a very small minority are actual gamers....

@SuicideShaun:

Play what you like! Well said!!!

killcycle2270d ago

I brought an Xbox Elite in 2008 and really didn't enjoy any of the exclusives except Ace Combat 6 and only played it once or twice a month which didn't encourage me to pay for gold either.

We needed another "Sony has 15 game studios" article today? What is that, number 15 now? I swear, the un-moderated "alt source" option is used almost exclusively for posting bias perspectives and trolling.

@ElementX
No. It is not the same situation. Microsoft does not have 15 game studios. And temp-exclusive XBLA games? Pfffft. And no, you do not need every system to be a "true gamer"

"Nice, phantom disagrees"
Your comment is about 8 minutes old at the time that you posted this edit. How about giving it a few minutes before pulling out the "ZOMG Phantom disagries!!" card?

ElementX2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

He also said " moronic loyalty to a system" I think that speaks out about more PS3 fanboys. Most of my friends own both systems. I just perfer to have options. When PSN was down, I could game online with my friends on 360.

SilentNegotiator2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

"I think that speaks out about more PS3 fanboys"
-
Said like a truly moderate saint. PS3 fanboys are the worst, we know, certain types of posters have told the n4g commenting community plenty of times.

"When PSN was down, I could game online with my friends on 360"
-
That's nice. But not everyone is going to run out and get a new system because they can't play online for a few weeks.
*edit* Well then, not everyone is going to OWN multiple systems "just in case"

ElementX2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

I've owned a 360 at launch, sold it for rent money after a couple years, then bought a slim version when that was released. I didn't buy it becasue of the PSN outage.

BTW I'm not stealth trolling. I'm IamNate on PSN and FeralAssassin on 360. Feel free to add me.

LOGICWINS2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

"if your a true gamer you cant ignore Sonys exclusives"

I have a big problem with that statement. Who are you to determine what a true gamer is..much less what they should be playing?

I know people who only consider people who spend upwards $2000 on the latest graphics card/ latest PC, true gamers. MrDead..in what position does that put you in? Do you have the latest graphics card/PC? If you don't, then your not a true gamer by the standards of several PC gamers I know.

Every gamer has their own interpretation of what a true gamer is..I don't know why u think that we should take your interpretation as fact.

If you had said:

"I BELIEVE that every gamer should experience PS3 exclusives"

then I would have been okay with your statement..because thats a valid opinion. Its actually an opinion I agree with. I think EVERY gamer who likes action games/ RPGs should play Yakuza 4(My GOTY so far).

HOWEVER..to attempt to determine what a true gamer is, or what he/she should be playing is a tad overboard. How can one person legitimately attempt to determine what a true gamer should be playing?

masterofpwnage2271d ago

Somethings about your comments always piss me off.
But I usually agree with it. Not this one though.

He is basically saying no more 2007 bs, where your loyal to only one console. Get both and enjoy.
He is mostly stating it to both ps3 and 360 fanboys.

Nicaragua2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

Thats just splitting hairs for the sake of arguing.

Of course its his belief, its a comment on a website not a sworn factual oath - so lets just take it for granted then everyones comment is just their own opinion and then you wont have to go around offering amendments in the spirit of correctness.

LOGICWINS2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

"He is basically saying no more 2007 bs, where your loyal to only one console. Get both and enjoy."

But what about people who are loyal to one console because they LEGITIMATELY aren't interested in what other consoles have to offer?

How can someone assume that every "true gamer" will be interested in PS3 exclusives or 360 exclusives?

thugbob2271d ago

@logicwins You know what he means.

"Somethings about your comments always piss me off."

^^^ I've always felt this way about logic's comments, but now I know what pisses me off about them.

Logicwins you always attack people who don't word their comments precisely the way you would like them to. Do people really have to type "in my opinion" "I believe" "I think" etc etc etc in every single one of their comments in order for you to not have a "Big Problem" with it or in order for you to not attack them?

Come on man use some logic ;)

jessupj2271d ago

The difference is, if you have a PS3 and a gaming rig, you're not missing out on much at all if you don't own a 360. On the flip side, if you only own a 360 you're missing out on a tonne of quality games, many of them setting the bar for their genre according to many gaming outlets.

Fair enough if you don't have the money and are content with your 360, but I can't take anyone seriously at all when they say nothing interests them on the PS3. If that was really true then you don't like gaming fullstop.

Hicken2271d ago

Who is LEGITIMATELY not interested in the exclusives of on console? Someone who can say that with a straight face is a fanboy, NOT a gamer.

YOU.

LOGICWINS2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

@thugbob- Theres a difference between attacking someone and challenging their opinion.

If you want to see an example of "attacking", look at Hicken's comment. He just called me a fanboy and a non gamer with nothing to back it up. Also, he fails to see the possibility that some people don't care about Halo, Gears, MGS4, GOW3 etc.

That my friend is a personal attack.

Did I call MrDead a fanboy? Nope

Did I say he wasn't a gamer? Nah

Did I insult him in anyway...nope.

Hicken just did all three...but his comment isn't reprimanded?

"Come on man use some logic"

Would u say its "logical" that a wall of text on a gaming news website pisses you off?

_Aarix_2271d ago

@hicken
"Someone who can say that with a straight face is a fanboy, NOT a gamer"

You got it backwards dude...its called preference. Microsoft games have a different "style" to their games i prefer over sonys. I'm not denying that the ps3 and its games are amazing but they both are so different in both console features and exclusives thats its not far fetched to prefer one over the other. Dictating what consoles are for true gamers or not is the ultimate form or fanboyism (which you are displaying now). You gamers who discourage xbox or wii or whatever console someone prefers are the sole reason this generation sucks.

Hicken2271d ago

If you played them and just didn't like them, that's fine. That's totally understandable, because that's your opinion.

But to "not be interested" is ignorant, especially when you claim to be a "true gamer." As I said, for all I get called a PS3 fanboy, I still want to play Gears, I still enjoyed Halo (Reach, at least), I still love Lost Odyssey, I still own a copy of Fable II. I STILL want a 360 for the games I can't play on PS3.

There's no such thing as "not being interested" in games I haven't played, unless it's a genre I don't like, or something like that.

I'm not interested in Resident Evil, Silent Hill and the like, because I'm not fond of horror games(they freak me out). Even so, Dead Island looks almost interesting enough to play. By and large, though, I avoid that GENRE because those games don't interest me.

If you like FPS titles, you should WANT to play the Killzone and Resistance franchises, just as much as you should WANT to play Halo. Like TPS? You should WANT to play both Gears AND Uncharted. Like racing? You should WANT to play GT AND Forza. Once you've played them, THEN you're entitled to say you don't like one, or that further entries "don't interest" you. Until that point, though, you're just being a fanboy.

So I'll call it how I see it: FANYBOY. YOU.

Once again, your logic fails.

Ducky2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

"So I'll call it how I see it: FANYBOY. YOU."

... a fanboy of what exactly? O.o

Simply liking a genre doesn't mean you'd be interested in every single game of the genre. I like FPS games, doesn't mean I'm interested in all of them because even each genre is quite diverse.
There's a world of difference between Quake and ARMA, and despite never playing an ARMA game, I know it doesn't interest me just by looking at it.

If you're interested in a lot of games, good for you, it's nice to have varied tastes, but don't assume that everyone thinks just like you and start labeling anyone with a different opinion as a 'fanboy'.

I can admit that the exclusives of each platform have some great games (similar to how ARMA is a great game with a loyal fanbase), but also, at the same time, I can also say that most of those games don't interest me.
... does that mean I'm not a 'true gamer'?

Just enjoy whatever you like but respect the opinions and choices of others instead of demeaning them by saying they aren't 'true gamers' or 'fanboys' if they don't buy a console you like or a game you like.

SnotyTheRocket2271d ago

And here's another PC gamer who thinks that PC gaming is better, the only thing that's different is graphics for the multplatform games and more memory.(eg. Crysis 2, BF3, exept the amount of players and small maps) so, don't come here and say that a true gamer is someone who wastes 2000 on a stupid card when great games are only $299 dollars away if you had a console, PC is fine, but I prefer the PS3 (360 for Halo Reach) and it's going to stay that way.

Do you even know what a second party is?

A second party is not a third party who happens to develop an exclusive. The majority shares are not owned by sony especially level 5 are you kidding me?

They have at least 5 games in development for nintendo platforms.

Ninja theory is multiplat, insomniac is now multiplat, media vision is multiplat, ect.

TheDivine2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

Wow you have too much time on your hands LOL.

insomniac-making multiplats
quantic dream-made multiplats
housmarque-making multiplats

ninja theory-making multiplats

Kinda hard for sonys studios to make 360/wii games?
I guess from software, square enix, namco, 4a, larian, pyranha bytes and the like are ms studios right?

Anyways theres no reason not to have both systems these days, theyre both affordable. Each have many exclusives.

tawak2271d ago

we don't care at least Microsoft has "Kinect".....well ummmm i quess that's pretty much about it...

BitbyDeath2271d ago

2nd Party is usually pretty gray in what it covers but my interpretation is that it is when a 3rd party has a signed contract to make an exclusive series of games.

Leviathan2271d ago (Edited 2271d ago )

I own all systems. I've received all my information from wikipedia.I only state the truth. A second party studio DOES create exclusives, however they are also free to be a third party studio simultaneously.

educate thyself you noobs. I stated nothing less than facts. These companies listed make or have made ps exlusives. Period. Argue that.

Luckily im not a fanboy of any system although i admit i am biased towards MS and Sony. I just have not had the funds to buy the PS3 mainly because of a lot of other things

paintsville2270d ago

Well this isn't rocket science. If Sony wants to remain competitive then they MUST have exclusives written specifically for their software to hide it's weaknesses when directly compared to the 360 in multi console releases. If Sony lost it's exclusives and there were only multi-console releases then this wouldn't even be close. 360 would have and ever LARGER lead than it already enjoys.

Jay5202271d ago

Really, you're not a true gamer if you ignore Sony exclusives? What a fanboy. As far as I'm concerned, both MS and Sony have about the same amount of quality exclusives.

MS has Halo, Gears, Forza, & the L4D series. Sony has Uncharted, God of War, Gran Turismo, and Killzone series. inFamous is ok, but it's not genre-leading. It's not as good as Assassin's Creed or Batman Arkham Asylum. LittleBigPlanet is ok, but it can get boring quick.

Sony had MGS4, but that's in the past and I doubt we'll see a new release in the future. They also had Demon's but that went multiplat.

This year I've been gaming on my PS3 more. Games like Mortal Kombat, Dead Space 2, Portal 2, were all either better or exclusive on the PS3. But at the end of the year, I'll be gaming on my 360 more than the first half. On the X360, I'll be getting Gears 3, Skyrim, & maybe Battlefield 3. On the PS3, I'll be getting Dark Souls, Uncharted 3, and Assassin's Creed Revelations. I may get Twisted Metal, or Resistance 3. They'll be good, but I doubt they'll reach the same level of quality as the other games I mentioned.

The point I'm trying to make is Sony has just as many genre-leading games as MS. Sony just has more mid-tier games. While MS has more multiplats. I'm usually gaming on both consoles equally. My gaming time on the PS3 is usually a few great exclusives with some mid-tier exclusives. I'm usually gaming on the X360 with a few great exclusives and some multiplats. This year has been different because of most of the multiplats being better on the PS3.

I play games on whatever console they're better on. Sometimes I game on PS3 more. Sometimes it's X360. I don't feel either has a substantial lead over the other in terms of genre-leading exclusives

How does ms has more multiplat lololol.

Sony actually has more "genre leading" franchises than Microsoft. There's no God of War equivalent for the 360 for instance, and we know that's a genre leading franchise. Gran Turismo is far ahead of Forza. There's no LittleBIGPlanet equivalent on 360 (although I'd argue that's a genre dominated by Nintendo). No Heavy Rain equivalent on 360 and so on.

In fact, Microsoft really only beats Sony in the 1st & 3rd person genres (unless we include Fable, which would go under the RPG genre). Outside of that, Sony completely dominates Microsoft when it comes to exclusive franchises and genres. Even from a sales perspective; Gears of War, while exclusive to the 360, isn't Microsoft's, leaving only Halo as their trump card for 1st party franchises that sell crazy numbers. Sony's franchises don't all sell like Gran Turismo, sure, but they don't need to. Then again, if I only cared about sales, any input in this topic would be pointless.

Edit: This has to be one of very few places where you receive disagrees for stating facts.

@Urrakia34

I don't understand the LOL. Just stating my preference. All I'm saying is when I decide which console I game on, it all depends on which games have come out, and which systems the games are better/exclusive on.

jdfoster002271d ago

I'd say get Battlefield 3 on the ps3 rather than 360... (no gameplay shown on 360 and get extras on ps3 version) Unless you're mates are all on it on 360 though

CGI-Quality2271d ago

Btw, the Left 4 Dead series isn't Microsoft's at all. It's not even published by Microsoft.

Urrakia342271d ago

I put Lol because how is it possible that the 360 has more multiplats than the PS3? Doesn't make any sense.

NoobSessions2271d ago

I kinda agree with you. Although Sony definitely has quantity, the number of exclusives that Id actually buy are somewhat equal from each console. Some multiplats definitey beat alot of "Sony exclusives" for me, and I can only buy so many games :P

No fanboyism, just my opinion.

@cgi quality: I know exactly how you feel. the thing is, the more truth you bring, the more people fight you. Solace comes from KNOWING your right and not being a sheep.

@Jay
Whoa, before rumors start. Demon's Souls never went multiplat'. Can you buy it on PC/360/Wii/PSP/DS? No. L4D on the other hand...

Anyways, the "equal in genre leading games" angle is borked too. There's no 360 equivalent of LBP/Yakuza/GOW/HeavyRain/Starh awk/3D Dot/EyePet/DCUO/MAG/TwistedMet al/Last Guardian/Sly, even Afrika.

Heck, scratch Starhawk, just gimme a Warhawk doppelganger...a la Forza to GranTurismo. You can't. Facts b4 feelings.

Pyscho_Mantis2271d ago

I luv how these xbots think that MGS and Final Fantasy have suddenly gone multiplatform. There hasnt even been a MGS game released on the 360 yet dunno if Rising is on hiatus and one FF game. Final Fantasy 14 is ps3 and pc and versus 13 is a ps3 exclusive. Genre leading?

GT5 pretty much leads the racing genre
Uncharted 3 action and adventure game that also leads
God of War 3 one of the best hack and slashers
Ratchet and Clank unique platformer

exclusives should only matter if your a delusional fanboy , personally i'm not a big fan of ps3 exclusives despite how much the fanboy's ramble on and on about them i could only ever love MGS4 , LBP and Uncharted the rest are come and go experiences

@ Eye

Guess I'm a fanboy for enjoying and anticipating Gears of War 3 and the next Halo. I probably wouldn't have bought a 360 if it wasn't for those games...and that's from the heart.
