Dan, Bob, and Dr. Aggro from GigaBoots.com sit down and talk about the latest gaming news and have a roundtable on the 3DS’s price drop while spewing off disturbing metaphors for Nintendo’s position in the market today.
Stop talking about the 3DS!! Really people we get that for some reason everyone in the world thinks it's doomed. Wait untill the price drop and new games come. Then if it's still a failure you have as much reason as the next guy to complain about it for whatever reason. Why does everyone think the 3DS will fail over the DS? It's really not in any different of a spot than the DS. The price drop changes things but the only way can be a good way. Sales will at least increase a little with this.
There is no way, with the amount of time this article has been up, that you watched it. Stop bitching without knowing what you're talking about.
I'm sorry I didn't want to waste an hour and a half of my life listening to something I already read almost every day. Something saying Nintendo is dead, or we need old Nintendo, or the 3DS is doomed, or something stupid. I'm just saying people need to stop bringing it up. Wait it out to see what happens with the 3DS and then if it does fail for whatever reason than write whatever you want. Throw a parade for all I care. But why don't people just wait it out instead of trying to write something else about Nintendo's doom. I bet if Nintendo actually did fail and stopped making games everyone so worried about Nintendo doom stories would be upset.
Its not just the 3Ds. Nintendo lost the magic when they sold out to the casuals. Gamecube was the last great console they ever made and probably will make.
nintendo hasnt lost any magic besides new l;ittle sony gamers talking crazy...last i check their games sold the most any console generations and they are still the ones innovating..
Honda's sell more than Lamborghini's and Ferrari's, what's the better car?
yeah but, which one can you afford the most? there´s a counter-argument to any argument...
@Sickman, That's besides the point, he's using sales as an example when clearly sales have nothing to do with what is "good" or "bad"
Nintendo messed up with the marketing of the 3DS in a big way. Charging 250 euros for it was way to much which is why many people didnt want to buy it. Obviously due to the tremendous success of the DS and Wii Nintendo wanted to taek advantage of 3DS owners by making a big profit off the handheld. At least Nintendo saw the mistake they were making with the price and dropped it. And now this holiday season the 3DS will sell quite well.
Yes they have...what people fail to realize is how fast nintendo is loosing popularity over this.......they no longer are looked at as perfect nintendo Unfortunately people are starting to see them for what they are...that new zelda is not srlling well either ....how about some new ip's nintendo ... Come on man Mario cart 7 ? That just wont cut it anymore
the new zelda isnt selling well? It broke 1 million units sold. The last 2 mario karts sold in total over 15 million units........ Youve illuminated what most people are around here Un-knowledgeable
who are these people? Oh thats right nothing Come back to me after the holidays were the 3ds is poised to kill....... fyi the 3ds is outpacing the ds by at leats a million in units sold
Too early to call the 3ds a failure, Also, do peopple even remember the gamecube? Nintendo doesnt have the magic all the time..... somethimes they simply dont, we have seen it before. Unless youre 12 or so...
Or the Virtua Boy which was the biggest failure that Nintendo has ever produced. So yes while many people worship Nintendo they have to realize that the company are run by a bunch of human beings. They like any other are capable of making mistakes. Now if you want my opinion its this. Nintendo did a terrible job at marketing the 3DS plus they went over their heads with the price. Thankfully they noticed their mistake and they cut the price. Hopefully in the future Nintendo will learn that when you release a console or a handheld the price has to be good and there has to be good games at launch.
I love how everyone tries to sound like a financial genius in Nintendo's money problems and the ways of marketing. Considering the 3DS might turn around for the better, it's fun to see so many ridiculous articles get hashed out before hand, just to get attention. As for Nintendo as a whole, I'd say their magic hasn't really been lost, it's just they seem to be falling behind compared to PS3 and 360. If any magic has been lost, it's because Nintendo keeps releasing remakes and rereleases, when we should be getting either sequels or new IPs in general.
It`s easier to get hits when you talk negatively about something. It`s hard to love, but easy to hate. People hate Nintendo because it`s easy and they can`t believe a company focusing on gameplay rather than graphics is doing so well.
They have lost the magic. Whatever happened to the good games? Double Dragon, Contra, Desert Strike, Breath of Fire... Remake the classics! D:
None of those games are created by Nintendo.
I prefer news that's short & sweet & right to the point!
Nintendo lost the magic after the N64
