According to Simon Benson the development manager at SCEE it's doesn't cost much to add 3d into games.
I suppose because 3D has been around for a long time now, its easy to implement.
Holy crap I didn't realise it would be that easy either. Do many games these days support 3D anyways?
I got a Nvidia 3D stereo surround set up and I don't even use 3D when playing. It's a cool feature for like 5 minutes but afterwards it just isn't that great. It's a cool technology but it just doesn't make me say "I'm not playing without 3D"
