XMNR: The three map packs released so far for Call of Duty: Black Ops have turned out to be extremely profitable for Activision and Treyarch as combined they have sold more than 14 millions units worldwide for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
. " In total, we have sold more than 14 million units of Black Ops DLC up more than 40% versus Modern Warfare 2 Map Packs and more than any other new release title this year. And despite its low price point, Call of Duty's digital content on its own this year has generated as much revenue as a top 3 console title in U.S. and Europe." Pretty impressive stuff. The haters will struggle with this performance. The people's champ continues it's dominance and MW3 has already eclipse the pre-orders for Black " Awesome " ops and COD Elite has had to turn away some of the 3 million gamers that wanted to try the COD Elite. On a somber note, it's disappointing to see that Activision is making a 50% mark up on these maps...oh well, like the EA fanboys keep telling me, they need the money, it's only fair...O_o
And this is the demographics for "The Peoples Champ" Inside_out is referring to:
and all you do is troll
Because of these brainless consumers, companies won't hesitate to charge stupidly high prices for hardly any content. *Kotick buys another mansion*
That's a great win for Activision, but it makes me lose my faith in humanity a bit.
I buy what I enjoy.
