Flurry of PS3 exclusives came this year

JellyJelly2514d ago

What does that have to do with anything?

gamingdroid2514d ago

It does, if you ARE FANBOY!

Then suddenly your console of choice becomes relevant to everything....

The Meerkat2514d ago

Yes, and most of them were not as good as they should have been.

ilikegam3s2514d ago

@MYK1992
UMaDBro?

And how many exclusives are good/worth getting? Out of all the Ps3 exclusives, there are only 3 - 5 that are worth getting. Its kinda dumb how Ps3 fanboys boast bout exclusives when only a select few are really good.

bozebo2514d ago (Edited 2514d ago )

this ^

And same goes for 360, since like 2006.

Miiikeyyy2514d ago

Oh i'm sorry, it's just that xbox had no games this year. cept gears 3 and these kinect games

Urrakia342514d ago (Edited 2514d ago )

@ilikegames - Having 3-5 games that are worth getting is better than just waiting on 1 all year long.

EDIT: That's nice that you own all the big 3 but I really just can't bring myself to get an Xbox since it's mostly all multiplats on it.

ilikegam3s2514d ago

I have a PC, ps3 and x360. So I can wait a year long. But thanks for your time to comment. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment.

I'd much rather see "Flurry of Xbox exclusives coming this year". Tired of this Kinect bullsh*t.

@stiffler - I'm not sure what you mean by "look at Move in comparison" because alot of PS3 games support Move and utilize it for what it is - an accessory.

I need MS to make some more good exclusives so I can justify getting an Xbox in the next year or so. At this point it just really isn't worth it.

StifflerK2514d ago

I disagree, for the people who bought Kinect - it's great that MS are supporting it - (look at Move in comparison.)

As for regular games Forza 4 and Gears 3 look fantastic , and XBLA has had brilliant stuff all year - Ms Splosion Man , Bastion , From Dust and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet within the last month.

If you add to that all the great multi-plat games coming - there isn't exactly a shortage of games to play, I mean how much time and money do you have???

@ Urrakia34

It's an investment ( buying Kinect or Move) , MS have a lot of support from other major developers - for a Kinect owner there is a lot to look forward to.
Move - has some good stuff, but doesn't appear to have anywhere near the same level as support - especially for 'Move only' games.

Each console has it's own exclusives - but it's impossible to expect every exclusive will appeal to everyone. It's all down to personal taste.

Urrakia342514d ago (Edited 2514d ago )

Ok well if there is alot to look forward to for Kinect owners can you please list some must-have upcoming games for it? (I don't keep up much with Kinect games)

StifflerK2514d ago (Edited 2514d ago )

Sure thing , I'm gonna only list the games that seem decent, ( somehow I don't think 'Get fit with Mel B' would interest you , or anyone for that matter, lol.)

Games for gamers >>> Ryse, Steel Battalion, Diabolical Pitch ( from Suda 51 ) , Draco ( made by the guy who did Panzer Dragoon), Gunstringer, Rise of Nightmares, Power up Heroes, Fable: The Journey, and Alan Wake: Night Springs.

Also an new beat em up from Yu Suzuki ( who made Virtua Fighter / Shenmue) - here's the source:

and more from Sega , source :

And MS's new studio making the new FPS Ip, source:

And of course , the games mentioned in the article which MS are planning on releasing this year.

Casual games for the family >>> Kinect Sports 2, Dance Central 2, Fruit Ninja, Kinectimals 2, Star Wars, Disneyland , Once upon a Monster, Haunt (- by the guy who made Parappa the rapper.)

Hybrid games >>> Forza 4, Mass Effect 3, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Halo Anniversary, Deus Ex HR, Child of Eden, Minecraft, and all future EA sports games , and all future Tom Clancy games.

Plus you've got the extra features - kinect controlled TV and movies , and the upcoming search engine , video chat , avatar kinect, Funlabs etc...

Also , the thing I like most is - one device does it all - you don't have to buy multiple controllers for multiplayer games, no expensive add-ons as the system updates itself via software for free.

I don't think motion gaming appeals to everyone, but personally speaking I'm happy with the Kinect so far.

gamingdroid2514d ago

I really don't understand the complaint about controller based games, there are so many to select from. If anything there are far too many games!

It's not like we are in the first year of the Xbox 360 or PS3's release.

Kinect by far has some of the most stuff released for it all the time for a new platform.

I have a fat backlog and there are many more games coming this holiday and immediately after.

Particularly looking forward to ME3 with Kinect Support, Ghost Recon w/ Kinect support, Gears 3, Halo: Anniversary, CoD: MW3, Fruit Ninja, and Gunstringer. Those are the games releasing in the next 6-7 months! There are plenty more after that.

Not even 10 comments in and it's already a flame war...

"Flurry of Bad Kinect exclusives coming to Xbox Live Arcade this year"

fixed.

Also:
"you have the trust factor of the legacy of titles we've launched in the past"
So... that proves that they aren't even going to attempt to make any decent Kinect games, just more of the same.

Cmpunk2514d ago

nobody care's about a bunch of poorly controlled children game's with no excitement what so ever' seriously m$ there's a difference between focusing on kinect and abonding your core gamer's and you've done both
