Yeah imagine pulling out the ol Super Nintendo to find out you cant play your favorite games cause its been so long the Servers were Pulled offline..... Defend that idea, M.A.G, DC Universe , Team Fortress , Warcraft and many. More will just be a pretty picture on a disk 10 years from now

Team Fortress you can run a server from your own computer. >_>

Aside from that though I so sorta agree to what you mention. It's annoying to pay for a game, and then a few years down the line you find out it'll become worthless basically.

The original Diablos have been kept online for like 15 years, I doubt you'll need to worry about D3 shutting its servers down for a very long time. Also, they're probably going the online-only route to combat any cheating, and Diablo 3 being a multiplayer-centric game, that's one of their main concerns.
