EA Sports: Retail Remains Very Important

EA Sports today revealed its new Season Ticket subscription program, which costs $25 a year and offers sports gamers a chance to play top titles three days in advance via a full digital download. No publisher has talked up the rise of digital and games as a service more than EA. Could this program perhaps be a precursor to a fully fledged sports service where retail is no longer needed to get the game? (EA Sports, Industry, Peter Moore)
