A Japanese video game company dominating the market getting c0cky and arrogant.... strangely familiar.

(c0cky and arrogant kinda redundant)

When he said Yamauchi, I thought of Kazunori Yamauchi of Gran Turismo fame. Honestly, what company on top will not be arrogant? It comes with the territory. (also, getting access to nintendo's press area is just a matter of talking to the right people.)

What's up with these horrible spokespeople for the consoles? Reggie is a smug prick. I hate how everything that comes out of his mouth is about nintendo's sales and never about the quality and quantity of their games. The Wii has some of the worst 3rd party games out there. Seriously, the Wii is no different than the gamecube. You got the franchise games and some 3rd party crap. What worries me is that all of nintendo's franchise have come out or about to (Mario, Smash Bros.). What do they have for next year? There won't be another Smash Bros. on the Wii. There won't be another Mario on the Wii. There will probably be another Zelda and Metroid in 3 or 4 years. What do they have left (No More Heroes, Dragon Quest Swords, Monster Hunter 3)? I'm sure they'll pop out another Pikmin (I hope) and another crappy Starfox game, but other than that next year seems like bare bones. I don't know why no journalist has brought this up because it's quite evident that the Wii is going to have a even bigger dry spell.

Next Year:
Smash Bros
MarioKart
Spore
Okami
Monster Hunter 3

Wii people help me out here - I don't follow future games very well...what other *big big* games do we have coming out in '08?

KidMakeshift3686d ago

At least we're getting a level editor. If they could make character packs like Marvel Ultimate Alliance than that game will last people till Wii2.

Okami and Rygar don't count, plus I think there going to get the crap treatment, especially Rygar.

I forgot about Mario Kart, but I haven't enjoyed that game since the SNES version. Has Spore been confirmed for the Wii?

KeiZka3686d ago

Ya, kinda, since Will Wright did say in a recent interview that it'd be coming to Wii.

KidMakeshift3686d ago

I never got into the Sims and Civilization like games, but I keep hearing they're amazing

john_doe3686d ago (Edited 3686d ago )

mmmm ... i can think of three... sadness, disaster day of crisis and no more heroes, the baseball game with mario characters seems like fun too

Maybe we get a decent red steel 2 in 2008 too.

"The Wii has some of the worst 3rd party games out there.
...
(No More Heroes, Dragon Quest Swords, Monster Hunter 3)?"

Oh no, what will do do when my inferior third party games are only the quality of No More Heroes, Dragon Quest Swords, and MH3?

Meh, I'll try to find my list for you...

Edit: Brawl, Endless Ocean, No More Heroes, Mario Kart, Mushroom Men, Okami, Monster Lab, Animal Crossing, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Dragon Quest Swords, and FF: CC

Sorry if most of them are 3rd party for you. I know you didn't think the Wii had many good third party games comming.

Okay so Nintendo is just as arrogant as Sony, Microsoft, EA, and Ubisoft. Yet everyone seems to get mad at Nintendo for being to proud...

Calling out all the main games for Nintendo and saying is that it is like someone saying well Xbox can release Halo and that's it. Sony can release R&C and GT and that's it. Give me a break with that junk argument. Wii is getting 3rd party support in a big time because they can finally be arrogant along with being helpful to people who want to make games for them.
